Benzos methadone and xanax

I've been on methadone for about a month and a half and currently take 75mg a day. I recently got my hands on some 2mg xanax and thought they might be nice to mello out on in the evenings. I've seen all the warnings about mixing methdone and xanies - so what do you think would be a pleasurable but safe amount to take? Bear in mind I have pretty good tolerance to opiates but very little experience with benzos at all. Also, my methadone dose is taken early in the morning. I want to take enought to feel nice and mellow - but i dont want to creep into the danger zone - thoughts?

This has been asked many times before but for a quick answer, just take about 0.25 mg's of xanax and wait an hour before deciding if you want to take more. If you truly have no tolerance to benzos than the highest dose you should start with when mixing with full agonist opiates is 0.25mg's

i'M Scripted 120mg methadone and 120mg of 5mg oxycodone and i take 2mg a of xanax iwhen i first started the xanax i di .5mg and went up from there. but i dont do xanax after 2 so i dont lay down and never get up again.LOL

im currently on 120mg `done, and 5-6mg xanax daily , the pharmacist said the benzos sorta mask the effects of the methadone to a slight extent.

we'll see , i had my benzos this morn , there wearing off now , so il have my 120mg dose in a hour or so n see if theres any truth to it

that reminds me i havent had my avanza today yet, oops
