Gabapentinoids Methadone and gabapentin

Hey all. I was wondering if anyone has taken methadone and gabapentin. Both are prescribed for me, but the one time I took gabapentin I took 2, and wasn't on methadone. I kinda want to feel something, but don't want to overdo it, I read that gabapentin potentiates methadone. I'm on 85mg methadone but I don't go every day and the days I don't go , I do a few Dilaudid. I've cut down significantly. I don't like methadone at all. (WAY better than being sick tho!) However it is nice to not have to chase Dilaudid every day all day. It's relieving. I still want to get high tho, and methadone dulls my D's. Booooo👎🏻 why does it have to dull/block other opiates? That's some bullshit. I need to be on a lesser dose, sometimes I just drink half the cup and throw the rest in the garbage. It makes me all sweaty also, really nasty.👎🏻 Anyway, thoughts on the gabapentin? Thanks all!

Welllllll Absolutely yes id say Gabs will def enhance the effects . I've been on both and I split my doses am and pm and PM dose with either gabs , clonidin , or hydroxyzine I was nodding out pretty good . And Methadone absolutely dulls your Da haha methodone is so potent that it basically fills yours receptors and everything else just kinda floats over top or only fills wat the methodone doesn't ... So it technically it doesn't block like subs with naloxone but in a way it does lol if u get my drift . And I agree I fucking HATE methadone, in my situation I was coming off Fyntinol here in The states I was on 180 mg at one time , 6 months off the dope I had to cut my dose in half because it was just making me tired all day . I'm not trying to get high anymore I actually just want the shit to stop .. I'm at 30 mg and it's still to fucking much . So tapering 1 mg a week until Im either off or it stops making me tired af

Def be careful tho because you really are on a lot of done , but if u take it at night with your dose you'll nod no doubt
 
There must be a Dilaudid shortage or something...anyway had to take some methadone today cuz no one has ANYTHING pand I'm thinking I may take some gabapentin with it.....however I took a Klonopin yesterday, 1mg, and I don't ever take benzos anymore...so I'm thinking maybe 600 gabapentin? I want to nod, dammit. It's been 4 days since I took any gabapentin cuz it stopped working, I got used to it super fast. Oh I also smoked some ice which is sorta stupid because I think it eats up the opiate.hmm

Wow-I wish I could sniff out Dilaudid in the UK! Anyway, I have been on methadone for some years and Gabapentin certainly potentiates methadone. I've ended up developing a lyrica habit which is dumb as you'll get much more effect if you take breaks. Addiction is a bugger for making me do self defeating things :rolleyes:

Methadone is certainly not the nicest opioid , but just as you say, it sure beats getting sick ! The advantage I've had with higher doses of methadone is that at 100 mg daily I stopped wanting other opiates. I've been reducing in order to try and switch to bupe and now I'm on 45mg I've started lapsing as I started craving. My understanding of it's dulling effect is to do with the opiate receptors getting full of done and its a strong, long acting binder. This leaves less receptor space for other opiates, plus it will increase tolerance meaning that yuou suddenly need a lot of opiates to get a nod. Personally I use a mix of sedatives/gaba agonists plus the done plus a bit of cannabis to get a nod.

What kind of sedatives/gabapentin agonists? Gabapentin? Gabapentin and Dilaudid is my fav, it u have to time it right or nothing happens ..for me anyway.
