(Methadone/20-30mg)-Opioid Experienced, Methadone Unexperienced-Playing Around

So, normally I take something like oxycodone to get my preferred high. Oxycodone is certainly my DOC. Recently however, it's becoming more and more difficult for me to locate those, but I did stumble on some methadone 10mg pills. Actually, I stumbled across 3 of them. I did a little researching first, and since I have a tolerance to oxy of about 100mg at once, I decided to start with 20mg and see how that did me.

T 14:00-

I dose my 20mg of methadone, and go out to smoke a cigarette and a small bowl of pot. Marijuana is a drug that I haven't lived without since I was 14, and I don't plan on ever going without it.​

T 15:00-

I'm starting to slightly feel the effects of the methadone. I have the warm feeling in my shoulders, and a little bit of relaxation.​

T 15:25-

The effects are getting a tiny bit stronger. I'm starting to get the urge to re-dose, but I know that I can't, because methadone takes so much longer than any other opioid to kick in. I think that I'm going to go smoke another cigarette and another small bowl to try and pass some of the time before I'm supposed to be really feeling this. I may re-dose after 2 or 3 hours with another 5mg if I'm still not feeling anything.​

T 16:20

After more than two hours, the high hasn't increased at all. I plan on redosing with the last 10mg quite soon I believe. I asked a question in BDD about whether or not other users thought that would be a decent idea, but so far I haven't gotten any responses on it. I feel like it wouldn't be a dangerous idea, since I've taken much more than 100mg of oxycodone at a time before.​

T 16:30

I went ahead and redosed my last 10mg of methadone. I'm hoping that within an hour or so I'll start to get a decent buzz.​

T 17:00

I'm starting to feel it a little bit stronger, but it's so barely perceptible that it might be entirely placebo. Still waiting for this to become worth it at all. I guess at the very least I don't feel sick from not taking my oxy.​

T 17:40

I'm starting to feel a little bit of the focus the opiates normally give me. Nothing near as strong, but it's still nice. I'm starting to get the warmth as well, even though it seems to only be in my head and shoulders mostly. I'm still really wishing that I had my oxycodone instead, or at least another one of these pills....​

At this point I'm fairly sure that the high isn't going to get any better. Although, if it manages to stay at this level for a long time, I can appreciate that. It sort of feels like a weak hydrocodone high. It's nice, but not wonderful. I don't have any strong cravings for the oxy, even though it would be nice to have one, and I don't quite have the high that I love, so I can see how this could be used as a maintenance drug.​

I don't think that the feelings are going to change any time soon, so for now I'm going to sign off. If anything changes I'll hop back on and edit. This drug isn't great for recreation, although I would absolutely prefer it over being sober. Maybe I'll change my mind after experiencing the legendary duration of the methadone though.
