I have noticed when I have done methamphetamine that my legs tend to get Charlie horses a sometimes and my boyfriend has been suffering from his feet drawing up to wear his muscles are very tight in the bottom of the his feet and his tow will sorta get stuck in one positin.but I would like to know how common is this with this drug . and how many other people have this happened to them when they use this? Ooh n btw its not a substance i commonly use. anymore and I'm thankful to be able to say anymore. :)

Stimulants affect motor neurons which connect to motor plates on nuscles in the peripheral nervous system there are various types of these mostly Mediated by acetylcholine. Meth is a known cholinergic agent ala direct method of action and indirect method of action ala mesolimbic pathways. Increased stimulation of the motor plate can cause contraction or relaxation depending on the frequency. Many attribute muscle Charlie horses etc to vasoconstriction but this is simply not true. The answer lies in what I explained above.

I suspect that this is due to a particular combination of poor electrolytic balance coupled with muscle tension that amphetamines induce through adrenergic activity. Said electrolytic imbalance is due to a combination of a radically altered diet and water intake, increased sweating, and urinary retention.

No, the solution would be one of water; some mixture of glucose, fructose, and glucose-fructose; and assorted salts serving as electrolytes such as sodium, potassium, and magnesium chlorides, phosphates, and citrates. Perhaps there would also be some preservatives, like sorbates or benzoates.
