Meth not smoking but pouring into mouth/throat

Hey all. Reading for over a decade, first post.
An acquaintance has been trying meth and bought a pipe from their dealer. Looks very odd but was assured its designed for efficiency.

My acquaintance has tried with absolute delicacy, every possible gradation of inhalation, different heats and sources, angles etc but it just ends with melted meth in their mouth

They are currently hiking and for a while and so can't just find one with a bowl like they had tried the first time.

Can someone please explain how its meant to work. It just looks like a glass tube with one end widening in a funnel like shape. Wl see if they can send me a photo to post. * sorry I can't see where to add photo*

Helping them would be great as the taste of liquid hot methamphetamine is ruining the otherwise great experience of the outdoors.

Are you suggesting that you know someone who is doing meth by drinking it after melting it? I am highly confused by your post. Why would this EVER be the way you would want to do meth? I would assume that you would get some pretty serious burns if liquid meth would come into contact with your mouth. Are you using a glass rod without a bowl at the end? Please give some more details

Sorry. No not trying to drink it on purpose.

Yes it looks like a hollow glass rod but it has no bowl like the other pipe my acquaintance said they've seen.

Their dealer said it was better this way and with better quality glass in it

That sure sounds like a crack pipe, and I doubt they've gotten any melted dope in thier mouth, I've got a pretty big scar from melted meth on my arm, and it felt like someone stabbed me with a hot knife.
