Last year I was on meth every weekend and a lot of the time i took some to get me through the week. I stopped taking it because i started having all of these weird nightmares. I could see my self lying next to me dead and I felt that i couldn't move or breath. Waking up from it was really hard. Even stranger was the feeling that i was dreaming while i was lying awake in bed - like i had never actually gone to sleep but was just daydreaming??(does that make any sense?)To cut a long story short, these nightmares continued reguarly and I was short of breath during the day when i was awake, so i kicked the habit, eventually moving onto e for the weekend. Then, a few weeks ago, i went out with friends and took some meth(after much persuasion)I had a fair bit, but it didn't do anything for me. In fact, i was yawning all night. There wasn't much of a buz, but my friends were going off!!Did i not have enough, was i too tense or what?Has anyone had a similar experience to this? Should i just forget meth all together??

My girlfriend and I smoked meth for 3 years. We are pretty much clean now and have only sone it 2 times in the last year. We went from tweakers to socialites (YAY!!)
My girlfriend used to get all wigged out on meth because she has ADD and it did weirf things to her heart and made her EXTREMELY paranoid. But we would still get spun.
The last time we did it, I only took 3 hits and was quite qucked. She took the same amount and yawned, yawned, yawned and even took a nap before we went out.
She woke up and did some more. After about 9 hits, she finally was at my level. (Of course, being the teaker I am, I had to partake!)
The moral of the story is, she was so freaked out about doing it again after so long, she fooled herself into thinking she didn't get high. Your bad expereinces (perhaps) caused your mind to play with you and fool you into thinking that you weren't as high as you should have felt.
If it freaks you out so much, don't do it anymore, you might end up a freaked out paranoid mess like my girlfriend. But if you can get your fears undercontrol, meth might be a vehicle for recreational use and a good tool to become the weekend warrior you never were.

I don't care what your doing in your mind, if you get some good meth your not gonna be taking a nap before going out, especialy not without a tolerence. In my 6 months of hanging out with meth addicts in a house with no phone and sometimes no electricity or even water, I discovered that there the vast majority of people can't tell what good meth looks like(or smells or feels like for that matter). But, it does kinda sound like from what you describe you can't handle the psycological aspect of meth. Some people can't, its just a fact of life, meth might not be for you!

It sounds to me like you are suffering from sleep paralysis. I don’t know much about it except that it’s characterized by the inability to move right when you wake up and usually a pressure is felt on the chest and all of this is sometimes accompanied by strange visions of “evil” things. I have a friend who suffers from this, but he doesn’t do any meth. I have never heard of meth causing sleep paralysis but you never know. I suggest you do some research on it.

I often get sleep paralysis after doing meth for a few days, then stopping. It happens when I'm at that state right before I fall asleep. at first it freaked me out, but I've come to kinda enjoy it, as I have learned how to control the waking dream.

haaaaaaaaaaa holy shit me too.
i kind of get a trippy mind set. i paniced and freak bad when that happened the first few times, but then if you lay there you enjoy the fucker.
i think that happens to me most when i binge for weeks on shitty meth. which is most meth i seem to get.

Most speedfreaks will eventually lose their momentum and become as you have described... I not have to take far larger then normal doses to actually get a stimulat effect - methamphetamine as well as MDMA relax me greatly, in fact, a small line of meth, or most any dose of MDMA will make me tired, lately MDMA has been a fucking knock-out drug for me, I eill pop a pill and passout at a rave..
But in the end, ALL of the stuff you described can be a5ttributed to abnormal workingz within the DA/NE/NA systems...

Really, Phreex? Not knowing well any ex-serious speedfreaks I hadn't heard of this before. That's a very bizarre reaction... actually reversing the effect of amphetamines... I wonder what causes it?

When i get sleep paralysis (i used to get this a lot when i was younger, no drugs), i can usually sit there and "listen" and hear my brain composing some kind of music, never heard before, or some wierd visuals of my room, even though my eyes are closed. Its nothing to be afraid of, although its tricky to get used to it (it used to happen very often to me), relax, and watch a semi-conscious dream, and as the other poster said, you can control it somewhat, or let it be and it will control itself without much conscious effort.

Phreex its the same for me dude. I have pills these days and i just get tired. I have a few lines of whip with some1 and they'll be pinging chatting away to the point of doing my head in and im there yawning and within an hour im in a shitty mood. It seems i miss the whole peak part and go straight to the cooked part. I dunno. Go figure. I got a few theories but im at work so another time.

I can definitly relate to what you people call Sleep Paralysis. The symptoms u pple stated are what I really felt. It was scary at first but after it happened for a couple of times, I got quite experienced in handling them without feelin scared. I didn't get Sleep P from Meth but I always get it from high doses of XTC trips on over 3 days..... But the Paralysis fades away after about 5 - 7 days.......... thats when I feel ok again and feel all out to party , and juz like a cycle, it happens again and again.
