Hi everyone, long time reader, first time posting so I hope I'm posting this in the appropriate place. I'll get straight to the point. SWIM has been using meth intravenously for more than a decade recently had an unusual reaction at a partial-miss injection site. SWIM had blistering occur less than 10 minutes after finishing the dose, it is a single blister measuring 6-7mm, and filled with clear serum. SWIM reports that this was only a partial miss and describes it for the reader's clarity as being perhaps at most 1 unit of a 15 unit dose. SWIM goes further to explain that this was certainly nowhere near the worst miss they've ever experienced but that the blistering is totally unique. SWIM has provided me with a photograph to upload and apologizes for the poor quality. SWIM is just wondering if anyone has ever experienced anything like this and if they should be worried. SWIM and I thank you for your replies. Stay safe!!!

Post Scriptum: Due to bluelight's recent decision to disable attachments I'm going to have to upload SWIM's photo to the internet before I can share it... and just as soon as I figure out how to accomplish that anonymously I will edit this post to include said image.

Hello @Kaptain Howdy - this has happened to me a couple of times when a bit of meth has leaked back and got/into the epidermis skin layer. I've had small fluid filled blisters of about 6-7 mm. Your best best is to monitor them and when they burst wash the site well with soap and water and then apply an antibacterial cream or gel regularly while it heals. They seem to heal better when left un-covered but you could put a sterile dressing on them as well. I have never had one get infected but you want to keep an eye on it and if it does get infected seek medical attention for antibiotics asap.

Hi friend! We don't have to use SWIM here.

I second the above post, it may be leaking out and into the very top layer of your skin.

Did the shot burn while traveling up the vein?

If not, it's probably just a leak. Meth is quite caustic and can do some crazy stuff. Apply heat and keep it clean 😊

Edit: also, I use imgbb to upload my photos and then copy the code here
