I have always suffered from Post SSRI Sexual Dysfunction after years of antidepressant use, so I highly believe ever since the first time I tried meth my sex unleashed with a vengeance. I can fuck for hours while spun out and its at full force. However, when sober the thought of sex seems so just...blahhhh. When clean or am taking a crystal break, my libido is m.i.a... stays that way until i load up the pipe again. It's so non existant even masturbation no longer feels the same. So has methamphetamine totally stole my libido for good? Even when one day I may want to stay clean for good, it wont ever come back to me?? I have heard unlike cocaine, the brain cannot replenish those neurotransmitters so it can cause anhedonia (loss of pleasure) for awhile/ if not my whole life. Anyone else gone thru this? :(

If you don't feel like fucking don't fuck?
<snip> but if you stay off the shards for a bit your normal sex drive should come back, you must be doing meth too often, need detox is my guess. <snip>

When I was smoking meth my sex drive made me go insane. True story. Lay off that stuff. I'm here today saying I just want a cuddle buddy. Thats all

My libido on stims was overwhelming sometimes. Fun once in a while, but really, once you get used to such high octane primal sexual release, your natural libido begins to pale in comparison and the idea of sex feels more contrived and average when sober. You get desensitized, I suppose. Like others have said, lay off the crystal and things will settle back to normal in time.

I doubt this, honestly. Although I'm just speculating here since I'm not that familiar with the longterm effects that meth has on the brain, I do know that, of course, all drugs cause brain damage of some kind. And technically brain damage is permanent. However, remember that we only really use a small portion of our brains at once. So if I've read correctly, after a period of sobriety, our brain begins to compensate for the damage and things begin to return to normal. I'm no expert but this seems to be the case for a lot of people I've known after a long period of overindulgence of any substance. They often come out of it dumbfounded, confused, anhedonic, etc. But overtime they begin to see improvement, cognitively, emotionally, and physically. Unless, of course, they've literally fried their brain (which would cause a lot more issues than sexual anhedonia).

I go from jackin' it about 6 hours a day on speed to passing up free sex/bj's for the following week after I've been going hard for a while and quit. It all returns to normal, it is possible to have permanent loss from SSRI use, however.

once had a sex life that was coke fuelled and off the charts - difficult to forget but impossible to maintain. am happy enough now, away from it all, but the shit that me and my ex used to get up to.

can't answer re. SSRIs, but with my awesome partner I'm happy enough to live out my days without chemical enhanced strange..

I'd never heard about it for meth but I know a couple people who often had sex while on cocaine and they thought it sucked when sober. I think if you take a (long) break from meth your sex drive will come back although you might not find it as awesome as before.
