i have read, read, and read about meth. i want to try it. got a good source. know i should only try a teeny teeny bit. our planned method is snorting. but my questions are:
1) i hate the feeling of coming home and not being able to sleep. is there anyway to use meth, but NOT be jacked up for hours and hours? i'd like a 3-5 hour experience, just enough to hit a bar, hit a club, and hang out for a bit.
2) once i start, if i don't like it, is there anyway to stop or come down or lessen the effects or am i just along for the ride? (i.e., how sugar brings u out of a k-hole or milk helps when you've had too much coke)
3) is it better for me and bf to do it at once or should one of us be sober. we're city dwellers, so driving won't be an issue.
thanks

I'm not much of a meth head so I can't really tell you the other stuff, but FOR SURE do it TOGETHER. PLEASE, don't do it at all if you can't do it together. It will be a nice talkative session. Have a benzo or two(valium, etc) on hand for the comedown and sleep.

You need to score some ambien, which should'nt be hard...Just go to your friendly family physician, and complain of insomnia. I think that drs are fairly liberal with ambien/sonata scripts
Milk for too much coke? What is the science behind this? I've never heard any thing of the sort. Do you have a possible URL?

i dont really have room to talk because i do glass a lot but i really wouldn't try it for the fact of the addiction, it's a long bumpy road you don't want to go down. it is fun but when you can't stop it isn't anymore.

grand master -- not sure of the reasoning behind coke + milk. we were doing lines at home and i had a bit too much (not a full blown OD), i was cold, my teeth chattering. my friend swore milk would help. i am lactose intolerant, so i'm not sure HOW that was going to make things BETTER.
i'm a little leery of taking downers. i'm scared i'll just never wake up. yeah silly.
thanks for ALL the great advice, keep it coming

How about, insted of answering him with "Your going to get addicted", like some pre-composed replies you'd see in the Dark Side, we actualy answer his questions?

Nope, your gonna be up for a long time. Unless you have some good downers (like benzos others mentioned)
2) once i start, if i don't like it, is there anyway to stop or come down or lessen the effects or am i just along for the ride? (i.e., how sugar brings u out of a k-hole or milk helps when you've had too much coke)
See question #1

This isn't a psychedelic. Its not going to make you trip. If you want to do it together, fine. But nothing is going to go wrong. Save a little anxiety...Seems to happen more with women that get scared or something, end up creating a ton of negative effects in their head through severe anxiety. So in otherwords, relax.
Also, benzos aren't going to put you to sleep forever. You'd need to have a SIGNIFICANT overdose to do that. I'm talking HUGE here.

1) If you are looking for a three or four hour buzz, don't do meth. Get some coke and blow through that. But if you just HAVE to do meth, do a line... just one. That should be enough for three or four hours.
2) If you take my advice and only do one line, I can pretty much promise that you won't even notice the effects. Just some general speediness. However, if you do another line or two you WILL notice the buzz, and I highly doubt you will dislike it.
3) Do it together, it's a social drug. Drive all you want to. Driving is a hell of a lot of fun when you are spun.
And as far as what euphoria83ca suggests about it's long term effects:

i couldn't agree more. i'll have moments where i'll feel like such SHIT after coming down/going through withdrawal, that i say to myself "WHY THE FUCK DO I DO THIS?" and yet...i wake up the next day, and do some...and that feeling is just gone. i "just wanted to try" meth. previously i had only done drugs at parties. so like...once, maybe twice a week, i'd get fucked up- FOR FUN. its differnet when you get fucked up 7 days a week- TO FUNCTION. :( just don't say to yourself or anybody "oh, i won't get addicted" cause you never know...

I would just like to remind everyone that, while meth is indeed highly addictive, its completly up to the person to excercise willpower. I'm still kinda amazed I quit doing meth, completly cold turkey, a couple months back. I was up to 3.5 grams of HIGH GRADE crystal meth a day. I had been using meth for 6 months, for the first few months I was sober a couple days a month, the last 3-4 months I was sober 0 days out of the month. On average I'd sleep 5 hours every 3 days. Friends and family said I looked like I was near death. One day, I said "Enough is enough" and quit. Willpower is what it takes people.

i don't want to get hooked obviously. my reason for trying meth, was that coke is unpredictable and $$$. sometimes you hit it right and you're buzzed for hours. going strong. other times, you're running to the bathroom every ten minutes. i thought meth would get rid of that, plus be a bit cheaper. i went thru $60 of coke in one night. i want to avoid that in the future, luckily i won $50 in a raffle so it's not too painful on the wallet.
has anybody just tried it once and kept it on a recreational level?

Of course people try it once and keep it on a recreational level. Did you not read that I said its all up to the person? Addictive drugs wont kidnap you and force you do do their evil axe wielding wims! Just make sure you respect it.

hey. yes, i've done meth on a recreational basis. i've done it twice, about 2 months apart. the first time was by far the better of the two...definitely do it with someone that you like talking to. i think that you'll probably feel more like chilling at home or a quiet coffee bar than at a club or something. in my experience, i just wanted to talk, like really talk...about deep stuff like my family and college decisions. i don't know your age or anything, but PLEASE PLEASE don't use it more than this one time, or at least not for like 6 months. in the past 3 months i have seen my best freind go from a motivated attentive person to some one that's only concern is getting more meth. everytime he says that he is going to cut back, it seems to just get worse. it's a very dangerous and scary drug, but like most have said, it won't control you unless you let it. be warned, as i said i have only done it twice, but i think about it a lot, even though i know that i won't actually get any and do it, it is still on my mind a lot of the time. so take it with a grain of salt (figuratively) and do it with some one you enjoy talking to, that you can trust. have fun, but BE CAREFUL

i will admit, i have a highly addictive personality and no will-power. i am fully aware that i am responsible for the state i am in. still...from what i've read/been told, meth IS one of the most highly addictive drugs out there, so...that is a contributing factor. i know people who do it on an occasional basis and have no problem with keeping it at that. but each of them has had a substantial meth-binge. and after stopping--i think THAT FEELING is what keeps them from over-doing it.

Really? Hmm. I had always assumed meth was on of the physically addictive drugs. Guess I do need to do some more reading...

You know who I am, and if I catch your ever doing meth I will personally put a beating on you and your boy that will take six months to come out of. It may be based on will-power, but tooooooo many people toss their lives with meth.
Don't DO IT!!!!! Get some sleep and listen to the HOUSE music.

Meth can be a very big problem for some...it tends to be love at first rush. I have circumstances that keep me from having a serious problem with the drug--being both money and location. Its impossible to get quality meth where I live, and I have to travel about 3 hours (by train) to get it, and I deffinately do not have the money to sustain a habbit. If these circumstances did not exist though, I'd have a serious problem with the drug. Like PhreeX said, it isnt physically addictive..but most deffinately is very addictive psychologically. A Love VS. Hate relationship develops with you and meth...before long, you do it because there is nothing else, only meth. I am uninterested in basically all other drugs besides meth. I love acid--but save it for special occasions. I love K, but cant get it as easily. You realize meth is good for everything: partying hard, working your ass off, doing school work, cleaning your hosue...
It is possible to keep usage to a strictly recreational level w/o building an addiction--but it takes a lot of strength...and if you have money and extremely ready access, I suggest you dont even bother--the easier you can obtain it, the easier you will become addicted. Its not that expensive, being able to get quality glass at any time of day though can become a problem...thank god i'm jobless and far away from my source.

I've had some pretty nasty physical withdrawal from meth but I guess it was "all in my head."
