meth and dieting.

i was not necessarily saying the body is in "starvation" mode or stays there. I was just referring to the way the body seems to retain whatever you eat after stopping meth for a day or two. like, you don't take shits, whatever you eat, instead of just passing through your digestive system it seems the body retains it and sucks as much backup nourishment it needs after what had happened.

i found that using speed is a mad arse weight loss tool, but like everyone has been saying, i did gain weight when i stopped for a week. i didn't gain everything i had lost (5kg in two weeks) but i still gained weight that i didn;t want.

i also found that to stop the "starvation mode" that protien shakes and fruit smoothies in the morning before my dose work wonders, there are heaps of recipies available all over the internet.

When you aren't consuming food you body goes into starvation mode. You don't burn off calories but rather store them becuase your body doesn't know when the next food source will be consumed. Meth as a diet tool dehydrates you and supresses your appetite. Once you start to eat/drink again the weight comes back. The best way to lose weight is to eat 5-6 times a day in small portions.

Back when I was addicted to meth, I was lost tons of weight, very fast, and very easily. BUT...is it a good way to go about losing weight? NO

And I could type shit out for an hour straight about WHY its not a good reason but I'll just keep it simple.

#1 Its not healthy (duh)

#2 As soon as you STOP using meth you will gain ALL of the weight back (even if you still exercise/eat healthfully it doesn't matter....you will at least gain some weight back) and maybe more

#3 All of the side effects both mentally and physically that you will encounter from meth usage are hardly worth dropping a few sizes. Trust me, I speak from experience

Like I said, I could go further into detail but I really don't feel like it.

Question ::

Ok, I have never done meth and am extremely anxious to but nervous... naturally, because i haven't done it. except i am dieting and im concerned that if i try meth while so intent on losing weight will my mental addiction become too intense because im so hyped to lose weight and im aware that it will speed up the process... basically, im not afraid of my physical addiction because i feel that i can handle it as well as ive handled other drugs but my mental addiction is different and im afraid of how easily i can be swayed to use meth as a diet tool which i dont really want to do... i want meth because i love speed.... but i also want to lose weight... see the problem?

Why don't you lose the weight another way (not using meth)...then once you are at your desired weight, try some meth for fun? That way you won't be tempted to use it obsessively as you will have already reached your weight loss goal.
