I have a question about this compound im hoping some of you chem gurus can answer. Since this is just methyl AM-2201 would it be safe to assume that it would last longer and have a more even come down since the methyl group would be removed during first pass metabolism... also would the methyl affect the potency in any way? Any info on the metabolism of this compound would be appreciated. Thanks!

Doesn't work like that man.
Yeah its probably more fat soluble, but for all we know its now a substrate for all sorts of enzymes that could metabolize it into things other than AM-2201.

Also: "spice" is probably the riskiest thing you could put into your body in the RC scene. We literally have no clue what long term consequences are of using FULL agonists on the most expressed GPCR in the human brain, not to mention all the CB2 mediated processes in the immune system.

Very true...there is not much known about these novel compounds but in the interest of harm reduction i think people need to start asking more questions like these.

I'd say all those cathinone analogs of PMA are worse and riskier by far than spice and other branded blends. We KNOW mephedrone/methedrone are nasty, toxic things.

4' methylation seems to increase potency as well as adding fluorine to the alkyl chain, see JWH 018 vs 122 and JWH018 vs AM2201.

The methyl would not be "removed" as it's bonded to a napthyl group (fairly strong!) but it might be oxidised to a carboxylic acid somehow. The carboxylate may even retain (perhipheral) activity.

In short: we are seeing a new age of ultrapowerful cannabinoid agents. I would be very careful with methylAM2201 because, while it is unlikely the potency is going to be another 10fold increase, the possibility remains. I couldn't find any data on it.

Also I thought mephedrone was just a really vascoconstrictive serotonin releaser, so not like a super wacky active-at-milligram-levels high affinity receptor ligand.

Agreed, all these PCP analogues like MXE are also quite dangerous, as well as most of the psychedlic amphetamines...this is the cutting edge, everyone just needs to exercise caution with all novel compounds.

Thanks for the info on the methylation Sekio, that helps, ill post more soon after some research with this compound. I have a feeling its going to end up being in a lot of legal herb blends very soon.
