May I remind you that ID threads are not allowed and though I know it wasn't set up to be one, the majority of discussion is about that. It is what it is, good point about the volume of material and also it's very bitter so a dose (around 300-400 mg) of mescaline isn't easily gulped down. (2C-P for example can easilyy last about 10 hours by the way) Good points are made, now regarding the question at hand: doubling your dose is not really the smartest thing to do, also considering you are not entirely sure what material you have.
I'd say without testing the waters i.e. trying a variation of doses and not in increments of 1 whole dose / x whole doses... I'd go for one and a half perhaps.
If you feel you can let yourself go on the material and it is very smooth (which I considered synthetic mescaline to be, yes it is around. Rare but still) perhaps you decide for yourself if you have a broad range of experiences with other 2C's to distinguish some effects... and also if you only have extremely limited supply, then if all those reasons are met I'd consider doubling your dose.
It also depends on how intense 1 vial/dose has been for you. If it's not really extremely impressive in intensity then you can imagine that a double dose goes way beyond that (I'll come back to that later) - it wasn't that intense for me, lovely and emotional and everything and even OOBE but still visuals and mindfuck were at an epic minimum for me.
The above goes for actual mescaline though, so we again have to return to the point that it could be something else. I'm not really interested in discussion what exactly it *would* be most of all because it's against the rules, but consider the possibility that it is 2C-P for the sake of argument. 2C-P has a steep dose/response curve.
8 mg of it can be okay but double that has busted some serious balls to the extent of being called an overdose.
It's all your own decision but if you come here and ask: is it safe to do this, then without a positive ID the answer is no. Hypothetically if it's mescaline for sure then yes I'd go for around 600 mg myself once and I probably will actually.
But I mean that about material I know to be mescaline. It's from a very old legendary source that is not around anymore. I have good hopes for extra mesc though.
Anyway if I was not that sure I'd settle for something like one and a half dose perhaps to be a bit more certain about things (which one still would not be!). I'd ask how many milligrams is exactly in a dose. Personally I would be suspicious if someone said they had mescaline but were not sure about the dosage.
