Ok, Given thhe shit quality of Uk cocaine people are now cutting coke with meph.

chemical question, would meph cook up into a smokable form if done in a home (bicarb) lab with cocaine?

asking as a drug counsellor working with a lot of cocaine/crack users from a harm reduction perspective...


I have come across meph and mdma cut but as this isn't smoked not really relevant (just shitty)
 
I'm no expert here compared to others on this forum. But my guess is that, cocaine being an uptake inhibitor would block the releasing properties of mephedrone rendering it weak in effect. Much the same way cocaine blocks the effects of MDMA. Also note that mixing the two drugs may be potentially dangerous from a caridotoxic point view, especially when converting both to a base and smoking it.

almost all cathinones are oils as freebase, and they are prone to dimerisation.
I don't know why people think things have to be freebase to be smoked methamphetamine hydrochloride can be smoked (quite effectively too)

completely true; smoking freebase secondary amines can cause a lot of tissue damage since they are relatively caustic. People smoking meth are better off with the HCl salt over the freebase.

I thought that only primary amines were prone to dimerization. Do you have any literature regarding the dimerization of secondary amine cathinones?
 
mephedrone freebase

Does anyone know what mephedrone freebase looks like? I received this viscous yellow oil solution?? any ideas??
 
I read that you can just smoke the mephedrone hcl salt like you can with meth so you dont have to base anything
 
i know about mephedrone hcl but i received this yellow oily liquid. does anyone know what mephedrone freebase looks like? coz i heard its oily liquid. Is it? is it yellow??:!

Pure mephedrone freebase is most probably a pale yellow to colourless liquid. The more impurities it contains, the more the colour will shift towards yellow-->brown-->black.

And by the way, that's how the vast majority of all basic drugs looks like in the free base form. A yellow oil could be anything.
