"Meow" is probably a slang term for 4-methylmethcathinone (4-methylmethCAThinone, geddit?), aka mephedrone. You can grind down crystals to make powder, dissolve the powder and dry it again to make crystals, there's no difference. There's loads of info on this chem on BL, use the search engine and you'll find everything you need to know.

There's no such drug as 'meow'.

Theres no such drug as 'acid' 'smack' 'charlie' 'speed' 'cowies' etc - we all know what they are though.

Im sure most of us can say that if somebody is talking about Meow Meow they are talking about Mephedrone.

meow huh, lame name for a drug.

Since the original question has been answered -

Suggest a name for '4-methylmethcathinone'

It got the name as Mephedrone and also the name of Meow Meow.

The name should be based on you being a vendor or producer - so no 'smurf knee' suggestions.

Well, the mephedrone name is derived from the historical practice of Europeans referring to methcathinone as "ephedrone", which in turn is derived from "ephedrine" and the convention of giving ketones the "one" suffix, so that's logical enough I suppose.

"MCat" was also a popular name for the drug. Again, it seems to be a nice contraction, and the kind of drug geek who knows that "MMCat" is more appropriate is sparse enough to be ignored.

"bk-MDMA" was (is?) a popular name for methylone. This convention might work for mephedrone, except that 4-methylmethamphetamine is not a drug widely known in it's own right, so "bk-4MA" is just the kind of scary string of numbers and letters that is going to scare away our punters.

"Ketometh" might be an attractive name, our customers aren't going to care that it's actually "methketometh". However, most people are going to think of ketamine when they read the prefix, which doesn't really help us sell the product (it'll scare some away and attract some but only once).

"Drone" might be a nice contraction, but it's an unfortunately accurate description of what our customers will do after imbibing it.

So...I don't know. I think that "mephedrone" is the best name to choose that has any kind of logic to it. Obviously, "meow meow" is arbitrary enough that any other name might be chosen-"bubbles" was at what time a contender! Heck, why not just call it "Euphoria", knowing full well that 4-MAR is obscure enough to not be present in the consciousness of most of our customers?
