Allright, first off no. I am not asking ways to get prescription drugs from a doctor.

Now i once came to school on xanax and started mouthing back to a teacher which got me suspended for a day. About two weeks later i had an in school mental health evaluation, i told her that i smoke marijuana everyday, drink on occation, that i used to be on adderall, and my drug history. She told me that i was "lucky to be here".
PI went out of town yesterday to talk to another physc. And i told her all of the above and about my sleeping problems. She said i was diagnosed with mild-severe social anxiety, mild-severe depression, mild case of insomia, and drug addiction.

Now i was wondering if anyone has gone through this before on here? I still have to see a doc. To get prescripions of medication i need but i want to knkw what would/do you think would be the first things there going to prescribe me for my cases i really dont wanna be on any ssri's.

Why don't you want to be on a SSRI if you are suffering from all of these problems and a doctor thinks it would benefit you?

I agree...you are probably just saying you don't want an SSRI from all you've read on here, but the reality is they DO work for some people, just not for others. Typically that's the first thing they'll prescribe someone who is depressed. I had to try several before I ended up on Lamictal which I take now.

Also, if you got in trouble for mouthing off in school, already smoke daily and have used a lot of other drugs --- I'm assuming you're in high school. If benzos are what you are aiming for, which this post sounds like you are...fat chance. They aren't going to just throw them at you without trying a daily medication first, plus if you start taking them as a teenager, you are going to get used to popping a pill to solve your problems and not finding ways to work on them without the use of drugs. Counseling should probably be looked into here.

We can't really tell you what your doctor is going to think is best for you.

I think your smart for stayting off ssris your brain is still developing. Talk to your parents about getting into therapy. The fact that she came up with all those diagnosis in 1 session just screams quack to me. You have like no chance of getting benzos after admmiting drug use. The fact she said your a drug addict is laughable as well I mean you may be but I think shes gonna use that as an excuse to take further action if her "treatment" fails or you dont take the pills. You better watch your ass your in a vulnerable position.

Threads for dealing with Doctors tend to work better in Healthy Living or The Dark Side when its mental health related. I'm going to send this to HL for now.
