Hey BL fam...just wanted to share my recent experience with an unscrupulous molly dealer and why i'm more than happy i bought this testing kit.
so the story begins earlier today when i get a text from a dealer of a friend who said he had mollys. I was interested and because i figured i probably wouldnt have any mints for NYE i decided to check them out. so later that day we met up, i bought two pills from the guy, and after taking care of somethings i finally got home and tested them withh my marquis test. before i actually tested the substance i observed my first possible red flag. the pills contents was an off white tan substance that was very powdery, not normally typical of the MDMA i have seen before but hey i still had my hopes up that i was an actual molly. WRONG lol as soon as i poured a drop of the marquis test on the substance it instantly turned yellow, and from there it turned a bornwish yellowish color. I dont know what the hell this shit is but it's not a molly, so of course i called the guy and kindly informed him of my test reaction. As expected he immediately got defensive and told me that my test must be worng or that im tweeking because his brother and best friend popped the same pills and loved them. I went on to explain to the gentleman that the test doesn't lie and it's B.S to believe anything else. after a few minutes of going back and forth with me making him look stupid on several points he ended up threatening me and hanging up(i played it cool because real gangster move in silence lol). anyway point is im so glad i up'd the money and bought the marquis test, because clearly this stuff isnt MDMA(i suspect a RC but who cares im not messing with it anyway). Unfortunately given the current rise of MDMA use in hip hop a lot of people including my friends blindly pop random powder without testing it and to be honest i would be one of those people if it wasn't for the things i read on BL. so after wasting my valuable time arguing with an ass and wasting 40 bucks i can say im not even mad, in contrast to ingesting random wtf powder. so thanks BL for being my go to source for all my MDMA related information (and for putting me on mints too lol) its a lot stupid and b.s information being spread and this site has been really helpful in harm reduction at least in my experience anyway.

This is great...I know there isn't more discussion in this type of thread other than to give props to the people who test their shit...but I kinda wish more people would make posts like this. warms my widdle heart

Next time take the kit with you and test in front of the guy...then if it is bunk don't buy it. be respectfull, even if you feel ripped off. remember, most of the time your dealer doesn't know its bunk either. no sense getting in a fight with the dude or mouthing off...just don't buy it. its the only way you can combat the scammers.

^Agreed! I tell the dealer "look, I'm looking for a particular product that reacts a certain way to my test kit. If it doesn't turn ink black w/ slight tinge of purple immediately upon testing a couple mg's, I'm not interested. If it does, then we're in business."

Same with pills except they are usually a more purpley color since there's more filler to slow the reaction down.

I've had dealers tell me they want one, and I tell them where to go and it never happens again.

Good for you. Testing kits are not infallable though, I have experience of old kits that have not reacted to previously tested MDMA. It is quite a good idea to keep a few specs of previously tested MDMA as a control.

The best thing to do when you have just purchased a kit is test some everyday things and take notes of the reaction / times etc. In 12months time run the same test again and you will see any changes in reaction color or speed. If the reaction is the same as the first time you know your kit is still ok
