Men hallucinate after eating fish

I'm not so sure a fish would get a fair trial *what do you plead?...gulp..flop..twitch..gulp your honour.....*

And if thats the sort of rabbitfish I think it is, they have a sharp, venomous spine near their tales, which when caught, they will lash from side to side, and envenomate you given half the chance, beautiful to swim with though, when I went scuba diving in turkey, there were loads of what looked like rabbitfish, along with a couple of stonefish, which are supposedly good eating, but pack a set of excrutiatingly painful, and in some cases, lethal set of venomous dorsal fin spines and gill covers, people have died from stepping on them, although I got to get up close and watch several, just lying motionless on the sea bed (at around 50m deep)

I have been meaning to try Kyphosus genus fish for a while now, its just getting to buying some of the dried heads that I have to order sometime:)

you [edited], you're not gonna order those fish off the internet and eat them to get high off them. Regardless of the hilariously-shockingly stupid fact that you WANT to, you just couldn't. You're not two-fiftieths resourceful enough to accomplish such a task.

And, if you're joking, then so am I :\

lol the story talks about a poisonous fish that causes "terrifying hallucinations" and the first thing most bluelighters think is "gimme some" 8(

I believe that species of psychedelic fish were mentioned in an older book called "Hallucinogens"; I would be very interested in reading more about the experience the chemicals in these fish produce.

Of course the media is going to sensationalize this story, of course they are going to demonize drugs, and of course an old man who has never had visual distortion/hallucinations from psychedelics will be terrified. I doubt he expected the effects, which would make them much more alarming. Also I think you will find that psychedelics are often referred to as poisons, regardless of their toxicity.

Please tell me what is wrong with being interested in the effects of a drug that is supposedly psychedelic and has little history of recorded use. Is it wrong to be curious?

(note: I am not defending skunkweed420, decisions to ingest a new drug should be made carefully...)

of course not. i agree that media has a tendency to sensationalize but just think it's funny that people enthusiastic about this fish without knowing anything about it. When I read about a poisonous psychedelic i immediate though of scopolamine and the plants like nightshade which contain it. some people enjoy that class of drugs, but most dont.

yeh...you like mushrooms and acid. that probably means a raw hunk of this poisonous fish should be firmly lodged in your throat. I agree wholeheartedly with your aspirations.
