kandyraverchick of course I realise what you're saying is true - - - people are going to have
legitimate reasons not to come.
Things they didn't have organised previously that take a higher
importance [like your example, of course a
21st birthday will take precedence over drinkies with mates].
All I was saying, is that a majority of the time people are too
flippant with the way they treat things like this.
On the night a friend might call them and mention they would like to
hang for example - - - boom crash
bang, the date they set with many others eons ago is pulled to a close.
That's what I refer to as a
pike - - - a reasonable excuse to do something in place of the originally planned event is perfectly acceptable, if not annoying.
