Pharmacy [F*CKING HOSTILE!]
The Black & White edtion!
Easter Thursday 5th April 2007

ENTIRE PALACE ENTERTAINMENT COMPLEX. ST KILDA.
DOORS: 10:00PM

This aint a scene- it’s a goddam arms race! Those crazy fudge-packing, cigar-smoking, satan-worshipping, mother-f*ckers from Pharmacy return with a smash and grab special black AND white edition of Melbourne’s infamous Pharmacy bordello- a carnival of pleasure and pain indefinable!

In the time honoured tradition of ACDC we’re back in black with an array of international suicide supermen serving up a firestorm of grinding hard trance, chunky hard dance and electrifying hardstyle. Inverting and continually perverting the masses, Pharmacy also rides the white unicorn with a selection of nu.rave, uplifting trance and tech trance grooves.

Put your hands up for Pharmacy! The shit disco has arrived.

Infiltrate. Destroy. Rebuild.

DJ ISAAC
Turntable jedi DJ ISAAC is without question amongst Holland’s most influential artists with regular appearances at events such as DEFQON1 and IN QONTROL. ISAAC is also the author of twisted hardstyle classics such as ON THE EDGE, GO INSANE and the cheeky Eminem bootleg NOBODY LISTENS TO TECHNO. Get up and go insane!

KYAU & ALBERT [EUPHONICS RECORDS, GERMANY]
The undisputed new school kings of quality tech trance have just completed a stellar year that has seen them rise to number 48 in the DJMag Top100 chart! This meteoric rise is due in no small part to their cutting edge DJ performances, but also to their productions and remixes on labels such as Euphonics and Anjunabeats. Their remix projects have included the likes of Armin van Buuren, Kosheen and Gabriel & Dresden!

DERB / KAN COLD [TRACID TRAXXX/ DRUCK, GERMANY]
Millions of fans worldwide have been infected by this new groove! Kan Cold is the twisted maniac behind the domination of super acts Hennes & Cold and Derb. Personally kicking off the renaissance period of the hard trance movement Kan Cold unleashed mega anthems that included The Second Trip, The Sound Of Rock, Derb, In Africa plus massive remixes including the dark odyssey Angel of Death, and who could ignore the seminal Derb remix of Trance and Acid!

DARK BY DESIGN – LIVE
Gaz West aka Dark By Design yet again celebrates his accolade of best remixer at the much hyped HARD DANCE AWARDS 2006 thanks to his tortured genius mixes of The Second Trip, Universal Nation, No Good (Start The Dance) and has even smashed out remixes of metal icons SLIPKNOT.

STRAIGHT ON DJ TEAM- PILA & THE SCIENTIST
The now legendary STRAIGHT ON DJ TEAM as been at the forefront of the global hardstyle movement for since its inception Having headlined legendary festivals such as QDANCE and DEFQON1 the pair have toured the world pushing their upfront brand of hardstyle. Pila even recently mixed the latest BLUTONIUM hardstyle compilation as well as collaborating with Blutonium Boy on a recent club smash!

It's a great idea for Pharmacy.....in fact i think i'll attend. I was starting to hate pharmacy because of all the hardstyle rubbish, but now that they've done something different in the form of a 'white' trance room i'm interested. Mark James playing trance too....now that'll be a blast from the past.

I wonder how many tickets they will sell cause The Palace is a bigger venue than The Metro which has been the local for Pharm...i dont think their ticket sales are that massive to warrant a big venue like The Palace.

Interesting line up in the black and white rooms though.

*edited title to include venue.

^I rate the palace a lot higher than the metro, the Palace is quite cool when fully opened up....

Finally they're having it at a decent venue. The view from the Palace balcony over the mainstage is always awesome when the entire complex is opened up and everyones going nuts on the dancefloor. Good idea for the White Room as well, been ages since I made it to a show in Melbourne that has had some good uplifting trance. Can't wait :D

pharmacy was such a disapointment last night.. kyau and albert & mark normans sets were both excellent and the crowd in the trance room made it so much better, derb's set was awesome even though he played too far into kamui's set and dragged out 'derb - satisfaction' for too long it kinda ruined an hour of really good music, kamui followed up with an awesome tech-trance set in the main room however the crowd was so disgusting that i left and didnt go back till the intro of pila and scientist then left again, i understand killrockstars trouble with g heads blowing out in car parks etc but better they leave our sight to be in that state, i dont mind seeing people fkd up, its part of being there but it was really killing mine and a lot of other peoples mood seeing so many people sitting on the floor (especially the fkn dance floor, if you wanna sit down go somewhere else ffs.) seen a couple guys walking around screaming at people to 'get the fuck up and dance' but it wasnt happening.. i dont think ill ever attend a lockdown event again considering i really wanted to see dj isaac last night but the ammount of g heads crashing on the dance floor and the 'large outdoor area set up to escape the bump and grind' was worse than standing infront of the speakers in main room, there was barely any room to walk around let alone find a place to sit and you couldnt hear the person next to you cause of the noise generated by a few hundred people crammed in a little shed, there was no place to escape the noise and chill out for 15 minutes so i did as a lot of others were doing and left early, i dont think lockdowns are the answer to the ghb issue killrockstar is faced with as people were still passing out they were just doing it inside the venue instead of the carpark

Well my night got off to a bit of weird start, got in and headed to the main room to be greeted by some really bad hardstyle (Dark by Design I think), didn't really care because I was more into the trance - but this was my first time at the palace, the people I was with told me this was the only room lol - extremely confused. Eventually discovered the white room :)

Through out the night went from black to white, especially loved Pila & Scientist and Mark Norman, left at about 5.30.

Totally agree about the lack of chill out space. Tho I only remember seeing one person throughout the night sitting on the dance floor, but yeah the dance floor wasn't anywhere near as pumping as I hoped it would be.

Still had a good night, was awesome to hear some good hardstyle.
