lolol, I got so confused when i came back to this page, everyones icon is almost the same, AE, Wise, And Mind, lol, guess Ill put a leaf too :D then we shall all be brethren! lol, I ended up taking 14 cuttings, and they aren't wilting over within the first hour like the did the last time I cut them, so , looking good IMO, Have one healthy plant Indoor now, but, I think that the other plant I had was diesed. as its showing the same symptoms as the plant I placed outside , yet, Ive been giving them two completely different set of nutrients, No matter what I do, it just keeps coming back.

Starting to think I might have to take everything out of my closet, clean everything inside the closet, and all the items that were in the closet. As I have checked near every leaf, and have found nothing. I guess if the plant I put outdoor ends up getting healthy on its own Ill take blame for what ever it is Im doing wrong, I just dont see how I could be so fucked off when Im not even making things hard,

My last plant I just grew in a pot with Fox Farms Ocean Forest soil, and Fox Farms nutes, the newer plant that Ive been treating differently has been getting bottled water. It has FloraNova nutes and yet Im seeing the same problem. Tips of leafs go yellow/necrotic and crispy and climb up the plant.
Ive given them both micro-nutrients incase the problem was manganese or magnesium or some other micro nute problem.

Temps have been 63-78 degrees. Average from 70-74 , Hitting a high of 78 for about 3 hours a day. Humidity remains around 40%.

When you all tell me to simplify things, I dont know how much more simple I can go. I get soil that is ready to go, I get nutrients that I just mix in water, and Acid & Base to adjust pH as needed.

I understand that maybe going out and buying some soil that holds nutrients or something forever without me having to feed or do much to the plant may be beneficial when it comes to the plants problems, but I enjoy doing it the way Ive been doing it, it's fun. It's a hobby, something to take up my time, and as a recovering opiate addict , Ill take anything to fill in time, as any Idle time I have usually ends up in me wanting or craving drugs. Sorry if I'm being irrational , I just want to have something to do with my plants, I will be ordering seeds soon, So, Ill just have fun, plant two seeds in different mediums and see how it goes,

One will be in FF Ocean Forest. The other I dont know what it will be , what soil could I use that I wouldn't have to mess with much?
(speaking of which, I just saw Black Gold (soil) at the store the other day, and remember someone talking highly about that product. Im wondering what type of Black gold to get, because they had Orchid, Cactus , and alot of other plant specific soils)
Any recommendations for me to try other than Fox Farms?

And sorry for having problems with my plants all the time, lol.
Sorry for the low quality pics too, I need to buy a camera instead of relying on a phone to take pictures (and that of which suck in quality)

Just wondering, were you aware that that potting soil you have has nutrients added to it, Prelude?

Also I assume you're growing the plant that's being fed with floranova hydroponically? Despite what it may say on the package, it's more geared towards hydroponic growing (it's basically the Lucas formula). I would use a nutrient that's designed for potting soil instead. I'm actually going to be using it myself on a fytocell hempy bucket hydro grow myself soon, however I wouldn't dream of using it on soil. Unfortunately sometimes the manufacturers say on the back that it's also suitable for soil, but this is only so they can sell it to more customers. Potting soil and hydroponic nutrients are designed differently.

Also, if your nutrient is half decent you won't be able to add micronutrients at all. All good nutrients supply them in the first place. IMO if you're having micronutrient problems the nutrient is either crap or there's been an error on the grower's part (more likely the latter in most cases).

I understand the desire to do all these things but I think you'll be more pleased with healthy plants. I find that when my plants are extremely healthy, with lush, vigorous foliage it gives me more of a confidence boost more than anything. There's always things you can add at the end of the day, if you must, such as seaweed extracts as soil drenches, foliar sprays etc.

Just my 2 pence.

Nice tomatoes by the way :)

When I say simple Prelude, I was thinking along these lines:

1. Put Fox Farm Ocean Forest potting soil in a pot and plant the plant in the soil.
2. Water with rain water or RO water or even tap water if it's okay. Don't pH adjust.
3. Leave it in the grow room or outdoors or wherever you're growing until the pot is light in weight and appears dry, but don't let the plant wilt. At this point, water again.
4. When you see roots coming out the holes in the bottom of the pot, take the plant/root ball out and plant into a larger pot filled with more potting soil. Keep watering with a wet/dry cycle as described above.
5. Pot up again a couple more times, when roots are showing at the bottom through the holes each time and at the last pot up, switch to 12/12. Two weeks later, start using an organic bloom fertilizer at every feed, slowly increasing the dose as the buds form.
4 Harvest.

Optionally, spray with seaweed extract mixed with yucca extract once a fortnight.

I suggest you try this method on at least one plant and then make your mind up about where to go. You've seen how healthy my plants are and I've not done a pH test once. Soil buffers pH wonderfully and I've never needed to mess with pH. That's more of a hydro thing if you ask me.

^ thanks md. I thought I'd just remind you to water those plants, in case you forget. With that 511 medium sometimes it's a bit difficult to see when they need watering, but you can tell by the weight. That said, they'll need watering now in any case if you haven't done it already. I think they should be planted in the ground on Monday/Tuesday and we can use a couple of bell cloches (see the photo), since this will keep them warm. Alternatively some horticultural fleece can keep them warm at night.

deleted image to leave small one sorry about the edit.

I checked them earlier and they were fine.... they're really enjoying the cold frame.... no vertical growth but leaf size has improved, got a 2 pot autopot set-up so I'm gonna throw one of the Haze clones in there and something else in the other.

It's great seeing you UK fella's growing outdoor :) I love a good outdoor crop, nothing beats the sight of healthy cannabis outdoors :)

Sorry ive not been around to much lately, ive been enjoying this Skunk#1 abit to much, and end up couchlocking myself to the bed whenever I lie down =D

lol, I can understand that! Thanks for encouragement wise :)

Quite a few of the seeds on my window sill have already germinated. So they only took about 3 days or so to start to pop! I moved my 20-odd seedlings other seedlings out into the greenhouse but I really want to move them soon.

Watered those last night, they're looking good. I fucked off the seeds I had started... well I planted one that had a tap root emerging in with one of the haze clones and if it comes up i shall transplant it... don't want to end up with too many ;)

Well, posting from iPod so it'll be short. Put a plant in the backyard in a huge 3x3ft deep and wide. Filled with fox farms soil. Ive seen the plant get worse more than better. I'll try to get pics up put itsdoing the samething my indoor plant is. I've given the outdoor nothing but tap. Been adjusting the ph for indoor plant. Indoor still looks much healthier but even with 1 in and 1 out they have the same problem. BegginG problems start at the tip and goes down the ridges of the leaf. Beggining to think it's a disease as the clones I cut show As well. And they are in a completely diff soil with completely diff (botteld) water. I'll keep trying to grow well tho. Just weird none of the Advice Ive taken hasn't changed much of anything at all. Any who deciding between train wreck or northern lights. Looking for a good indica strain. NL is from nirvana seeds and trainwreck is from greenhouse seeds . I've grown NL before with great success . Is trainwreck relatively easy as well?anywho thanks for the advice. Hope all is well

Haven't grown it, but I've heard trainwreck is quite challenging to grow (in fact, its tendency to flop all over the growroom and thus require staking up is where it gets its name IIRC).

My mate grew greenhouses TW out last year and it was incredible. The strongest ive ever smoked. His grew pretty easily, he grew in coco and didnt seem to have any problems with doing so.

A couple of pics of my greenhouse. No cannabis plants here now though. It'll probably be a lot more tidy when I put up the second greenhouse staging unit (which is arriving tomorrow) which is identical to the one already in my greenhouse on the left hand side. I also need to finish painting the shading on the greenhouse, since temps are getting too high during midday.

Hey Vader, have you grown TW personally? Or was that what you've seen?

Wise420, You friend who grew it in coco, was it indoor or outdoor? did the plant seem to have any troubles during flowering or vegging?

If trainwreck is a picky plant, then, Ill probably stick to the Northern Lights as it seems to be a pretty hearty strain.

Anywho, thanks all for the advice, hopefully that plant outdoors that I have will start looking better rather than looking the same as the one Ive got indoor (which I'm currently watching day by day the rusty color on the ridges of the leafs keeps climbing up and up towards the top of the plant...

Took about 7 cuttings from my Northern Lights clone outdoor, I think maybe 4 or 5 made it .

Have a curious quick question, Is it easier to clone a plant that was raised from seedling, or is it easier to clone a plant that was, a clone.... Seems Ive had quite a few problems trying to clone a clone, and every time Ive cloned from a seedling I usually get 95% of them to survive, but all the cuttings I take from the clone itself I seem to get about 60-75%.

Thanks for the input and advice.
