History of Kush

Orange Kush
Kush refers to a group of cultivars of Cannabis sativa subsp. indica, that originated in the Hindu Kush region. It has been heavily domesticated and interbred since its discovery by Western society, thus none can be sure of its exact ancestry. Due to its indica genetics, kush grows into a short, thick plant. Kush is widely revered by cannabis users for its pungent aroma, pleasant taste, and high THC content.

SKUNK KUSH (I/O)
Origin: Holland/Pakistan
The hybridization of Hindu Kush and Skunk#1 led us to this variety pertaining to the Skunk family strains rather than the Kush family. Great choice indoor or outdoors in temperate climate
Budding: 7-8 weeks
Outdoors harvest:end of September
Southern Hemisphere: end of March
High: strong, skunky

HINDU KUSH (I/O)
Origin: Northern India /Pakistan
Pure Hash plant from the mountains, Hindu Kush is one of the easiest plants to grow: requires no pruning or top clipping to develop its marvelous columnar shape. Best start for anyone who wants to grow his special early Indica offering a black Hash like taste.
Budding: 8 weeks
Outdoors harvest: end of September
Southern Hemisphere: end of March
High: relaxing, couch lock

CALIFORNIA ORANGE BUD (I/O)
Origin: USA / Holland
Bestseller strain here in Holland since the mid-eighties, California Orange Bud is an example of 50% Sativa 50% Indica/skunk variety. Typical is the indica structure with short phenotypes and broad leaves; mature plants will certainly perform orange colored flowers when mature and a pronounced citrus flavor. The buds of C.O.B. are tight rocky nuggets for a huge crop with minimal vegetation.
Budding: 8 weeks
Outdoors harvest: end of September
Southern Hemisphere: end of March
High: body-head, clear stone

All female
Male - free seeds promising a staminate (female) progeny. Cannabis plants with a XXXY double pair of sex chromosomes will generate female genotypes only.

That red orange weed is fucking amazing. I've never seen anything like it in my life.

Shit, you get pulled over, it's not weed officer, just some cheap 'legal highs' knock off. Want some? It sucks....

I'd buy it if I didn't know otherwise.

Anyone remember in American Beauty where the kid charges him 2 G's for that tiny amount of 'g-13'? haha what a crock. I've smoked 'g-13' before, and it was just really good weed. I don't think true g13 exists.

^well the fact is there are different strains that cause different highs. Giving the strains a name helps you remember which variety you liked. disliked etc.

As for g-13, never tried it. But that line in american beauty about always has me laughing my ass off.

^I'm not saying there aren't very distict differences in buds and the highs you get from those buds. I'm just saying that I don't know anyone who grows bud anymore, and I would pretty much only feel confident I named my bud correctly had I grown it myself.
Not sure about wherever it is you're from, but around here everyone I know is way too quick to name their weed or believe any name their dealer calls it.
It dosen't really make a difference, the weed is going to still be just as good or bad regardless of what you call it, I just think it's the principle of the matter. Just let your weed speak for itself.

Yeah, ive smoked so many 'white rhinos' that are completely different, i also am very hesitant to call bud by a name unless i know the guy who grew it and i know that he knew exactly what strain it is.. even then maybe not.

Well i know a couple people who grow and they name their plants the same name the they were told their seeds are.

And i understand that alot of poeple try to stick any name to any strain.
but that isnt always the case.
It nice going into a medical dispensary in cali and having your choice of strains, or the delivery services in NYC that come to your door with 7 different strains to choose from.

Basically what im saying is some of us do get the chance to try actual strains with the confidence if knowing what they truly are.
I vote strain names stay.

much love
:)

Legendary G-13 in California

I have been told wonderful stories about a godly hybrid strand of cannabis created by the government in the 1970s called G-13. One of my weed dealers has informed me that his friend is growing a batch of this amazing G-13 that will be available towards the end of May. Has anyone heard of or smoked this strand of weed? This stuff is supposed to have a more than 20% THC content. I was wondering if there is any credibility to the stories about G-13 and if anyone can verify its existence. This may just be the usual high quality weed that people grow in my area and people are just calling it G-13. I love weed and I cant wait to try this strand, I hope that this weed is worth all the hype.
