These are all moot points for myself, as I am on day 2 without weed, and plan on staying that way for at least the next few months> need to get my life in order/pot interferes with my motivation and productivity nowadays.
You get pretty descent prices, DJ_177D177A. I'm usually paying $55-60 for the A1-2 (White Zombie, Snow, Bubblegum, Blueberries, Northern Lights, etc.) Lately I've been able to get Dynamites for $50, very potent/skunky. Prices are pretty stable seemingly across the state--those who pay less, for the most part it all matters how close you are to the dealer and/or grower if you pay less (I'd say pretty much all of our high grade is grown indoors here in the cities.)
BC's I still pay $50 for 1/8 oz most of the time (which pisses me off, because A grade can usually be had for the same or only slightly more.) Sometimes $40 depending on your hookup.
Of course I could just save up and buy ounces instead, would be a bit more economical, but I usually don't have that much cash on hand.
haven't seen middies (some trichomes, medium amount of seeds) for about a year but then is was $25 an eight (I usually only buy in 1/8 or 1/4 amounts). Am not interested in this stuff anymore.
Swag is still around....my best friend and his Mom still smoke it...It usually runs $80-$100 an ounce. I've been trying to convert them to quality product for some time, but they won't buy it. I won't go near swag with a 10 foot pole nowadays: dirty high (if at all), takes 15 minutes just to pack a bowl because there are so many seeds to pick out. Fucking ain't worth it in my opinion.
Then there are the reel snobs who won't even touch BC's. They I would say are the minority, and are within the minneapolis/St. Paul area for the most part (unless of course you grow your own.) Lots of grow houses here in the cities...one just got raided a few months ago, but there are 10 more for every one they bust. They are the ones who either know a grower directly or are very close and/or dealers themselves. If you can get tight with one of these cool cats you won't be paying any more than $50 for A-1, perhaps less.
I've found as a general rule of thumb, those farther from the metro area know little of pot quality. There are even those who aren't even aware of anything beyond swag (but they're probably still in high school).
