about the SoCal bud, you are completely correct. Ever since moving to LA all I get is kush or some kind of bomb chronic...I'm up in Oregon right now for a few months and all I get is mids. Nothing to write home about, and I'm dryer then Brooke Shields right now. Fuck.

Was picking through my jars looking for stems to pick clean yesterday. Resin hits, and lots of un-returned phone calls. My connects are random friends of friends of friends since I've moved, and I would have settled for a schwagg blunt by today.

And then . . . whaddaya know some sweet stinky juicyfruit just walks on through my door.

I should have expected no less from the first person I ever got high with. Such a goddamned relief.

just set a new personal record, rolled a quad-legit. For those who aren't familiar with the "legit" blunt rolling system if you take 2 cigarillos and connect them end to end and flip it you have yourself a B-legit. If you connect 3 it's a tre-legit, 4 and you have what I just rolled a quad legit.

Man over here in Australia, you don't ever get sold strain names, its all weed. We dont even really have different prices for good weed, shit weed etc.
Usually bush or shit weed will go cheap but some dodgy cunts flog it as equal.
Most of the bud that goes through is atleast decent though and usually good. Every now and then some insane shit rocks up but even then its hardly ever got a label on it and will always sell for the going rate not more expensive even tho its fire.
I sort of laugh at strain names bcause how can anyone really ever tell? I mean I'm sure the guy selling you ultra silver mega haze, makes sure its from the same grower/supplier/whatever when he sells you it again under the same name. But its like nobody can put scientific characteristics on strains of weed so in the end its all marketing. All that said though most if not all of the shit you guys post pics of thats sold under strain names looks damn TASTY.
I guess I'm gonna have to order some seeds of some of these strains and grow them to sample them myself.
In my over 6 years smoking weed, I have smoked "northern lights" once, "skunk" (most generic term ever) a couple times, "white rhino" a couple times, and the only reliable strain hook I had was for this shit called "deepthroat" and i gotta say she tickled your throat and got you MIGHTY HIGH.
Sorry for the long post just felt like jealously ranting about some of them primo lookin buds people post in "pot or not".
 
What up CD. Yesterday I popped 30 mg of marinol. Good times indeed. Later in the day we took some nice kb and squirted 10mg onto a blunt of that, which I highly recommend especially if you only have a couple. Anyways with thc pills in hand we started talking about od from thc. After doing some research and a lot of slow stoned math I found that the L.D. 50 for my weight group being a 210 pound male would be 4 grams of straight thc. That means that if I was smoking a really good bud that was 30 percent potency that I would have to smoke about 29.76 pounds of said bud. I'm pretty sure I did the math right but like I said I was baked so... Anyway ill post my math in here once I figure it out, I thought it was pretty cool and something to think about when high.

I also made brownies yesterday... dear goodness...

It seems a lot of you like the berry/grapey strains! I've noticed a lot of variability with purple weed in general. The high from the Purple Princess is very couchlocky but with the creativity and appetite of a pure sativa. I think it's Granddaddy Purple x an Afghani; definitely mostly indica.

My favorite strain (no clue if I will ever see it again) is Dieselberry, which is Strawberry Cough x Sour Diesel. OMG OMG OMG OMG! Speedball in a bowl! Best strain for anxiety EVER.
 
Anyways- anyone here interested in astronomy? I'm taking a first year astronomy course in uni, and its for non-science students trying to fufil our science degree credit requirement. Anyway, since taking the course it has really altered my perspective of life and our place in the universe, it it a truely facinating subject, does anyone else feel the same way?

more than you know. long before i ever got into drugs... hell, before i even got into high-school, i got one of those rare full-on glimpses of shit the universe typically keeps hidden from us. i don't bother talking about it because the only people that would believe me are nutters, and most people would think it's a question of faith to believe the story. but it's not. because you see, believing what is evident is no better than faith if there is a possibility that your eyes and ears are being deceived and the evidence is actually false.

my mind doesn't normally wander to these thoughts, but when i'm out in the country where there's no light-pollution and gaze up at a clear, star-lit sky i remember.

haha alot of you are really caught up on strain names, lots of the time people just make the name up. sometimes they dont, but i dont put much value on the name of the strain, just how it smokes.
