Miscellaneous Medicines like holotropic breathwork

Are there any medicines that produce a similar experience to holotropic breathwork? I find that breathing exercises help me with getting in touch with my body, feeling my emotions, breaking up blocks (particularly when I do these sharp "ha" sounds into my stomach), etc., but it's exhausting. I get tired very quickly and have difficulty maintaining it. I'd like to find a medicine that produces similar effects so I could be present with the experience without having to self-facilitate it.

My rough understanding is that Holotropic Breathwork (HB) was developed by Stanislav Grof as a non-drug means of accessing states of consciousness similar to taking LSD, which Grof had used in therapy until it was made illegal in most places. This doesn't necessarily mean that LSD is the drug that best mimics the effects of HB. OTOH, my impression is that Grof would have preferred to work with LSD versus HB for most patients, if it had remained legal.

I came across an app called lumenate a little while ago. It's a psychedelic meditation app. It's in the app store if you want to check it out.

I might revisit LSD. Haven't done it in quite some time. I've been using mushrooms and 2C-B recently. In my mind I kind of lump LSD and shrooms together in terms of their basic effects, but maybe I'm totally off base. What do you think?

Both LSD and mushrooms are serotonergic psychedelics along with 2C-B, mescaline, DMT, etc. In that sense, they absolutely share basic effects. Within the category however, I think they are pretty distinct. For example, I usually prefer to remain stationary when taking shrooms, at least until 3-4 hours or so in. With LSD I find it rather hard to sit still and tend to enjoy physical activity while on it. I also find LSD to be much more amenable to socialization at roughly equivalent doses.

I wish there was an LSD that lasted half the length of LSD  That's the only downside to me. But now you've got me interested again because I haven't tried it in such a long time.
