I've browsed the site a bit and have seen, to be perfectly honest, some god awful scientific claims and too many recurring falsehoods to count. I'd like not only to dispel some of the erroneous information and help you guys get the best, most accurate information possible, but to also increase my understanding of the drugs being discussed and the mindset and demeanor of the people who use them. Before I post a reply I'll research the topic thoroughly and add that information to my own relevant clinical knowledge. I think this could be an invaluable addition to my medical education, and I don't even have to leave my desk!

Welcome to Bluelight! If you need a hand with anything, feel free to drop me a PM :)

I have read spent my morning just reading post on this site etc... Today is my first day on this site and I am looking for a support forum for methadone maintenance which I am in. Out of all the post I read yours is the only one that has not spooked me etc...

wow, thats brilliant. i love reading well researched post being in R&D myself, but not in the medical or pharmacy industries. I look forward to following your posts!

I'm sorry you've seen so much false information - that is not our intention as a community, I promise you. Our mission is harm reduction, after all, so the mods in those forums are constantly on the look out for those kinds of things... and they do a pretty good job too, so hopefully you won't have to do TOO much correcting ;) But if you do see a post with false information that a mod hasn't gotten around to yet, you can report it by clicking the button on the far right side of the post (it looks like two pieces of paper on top of each other), and a mod will either remove it or correct the information.

But anyway, welcome to Bluelight! I hope you like it here. And also, thank you for your willingness to jump in and help out as a new member... that's pretty much awesome of you. :)

Welcome to the community. Sounds like you have something to contribute as well as gain. Many who post do so from their own experiences, some post info from something that they've read. There are rare occasions of people intentionally posting bullshit. as was mentioned, please report posts with inaccurate or harmful info so that a mod can resolve the issue. Additionally, to enhance credibility we encourage posting links to the sources of where data is referenced.

Look forward to seeing you around!
