Both HB 2514 and SB 1381 have passed out of committee and are ready for a floor vote.

These bills would protect the seriously ill from being arrested for treating their debilitating symptoms according to their doctors’ recommendations.

We have a real chance at passing this year’s legislation, but we need you to help us renew the call for the enactment of a compassionate medical marijuana law in Illinois by contacting your state legislators today. Please fill out the below form to urge your state legislators to support SB 1381 and HB 2514. We have provided pre-written letters, but please personalize your message if you are a patient, know a patient, or are a medical professional.

Sixty-eight percent of Illinoisans, the Illinois Nurses Association, and over 1,000 Illinois physicians support allowing medical marijuana, as do numerous national medical organizations. It's time for Illinois to enact a compassionate law to protect the seriously ill.

If you live in Illinois, please help support this by hassling the fuck out of your representatives. The link above will email a letter to your reps.

Update:

The state senate passed the bill, but the house won't vote until at least November. That gives us some time to put some more pressure on.
