MDMA - visual effects that can't be described as hallucinations

Not enough MDMA metabolizes to MDA for this to be pharmacologically relevant.

what are the %? Just wondering. If you take a large enough dose of MDMA, theoretically wouldn't this be possible in that case scenario?

could perhaps an enzyme or coenzyme difference in subjects also perhaps influence the pharmacological relevance to the amount of MDA metabolized?

Edit: Approximately 10% according to wikipedia. But wouldn't the potency of the MDA effects be increased combined with MDMA?

@ OP - Hallucinations are simply any changes in perception, whether drastic or mild.

Credible estimates are around 5%.

Because n-demethylation occurs via multiple enzymatic pathways, variability in ability to metabolize MDMA to MDA should be small.

But wouldn't the potency of the MDA effects be increased combined with MDMA?

Effects should simply be additive. Insofar as MDMA boosts MDA's trippy effects, MDMA is trippy on its own.

on high doses, they are definitely hallucinations. the other night when it first hit me, anything i looked at separated and moved at me with hella intensity. almost felt like and lsd peak for the first 10 mins of my roll, i almost freaked out cause ive never taken that much mdma

my second trip that I had with my partner and a few friends lasted about 14 hours, and sitting the room with a projector going after taking about over 350 - 400 mg over the course of the night, I did have visual distortions but as soon as I laid back on the couch the images that were being foreseen through this projector were really indescribable .

seeing dust particles look like the numbers on MATRIX .. the roof its self was a triangle point that when we looked up it looked flat and turned into a Fish tank. wooden tiki faces where also appearing. Fish and also looked like the roof morphed in to looking over the city lights .. so I think its safe to say that my partner and I had Hallucinations, but I think for this to happen when you lengthen out the period of eating the shit, and because your body converts MDMA TO MDA at high doses :)

I personally wouldnt call any of the MDMA induced visual responses Ive experienced hallucinations. If anything, Id say the opposite effect is going on-dur, like a hyper augmentism of perceived sight input. To me, colors get very intense, but never unreal; my mind can "see" things for exactly what they are; and I seem to develop this ability to view objects with a high magnification, almost on a microscopic level-as an example, I have stared at buds pinched between my forefinger and thumb and could quite literally see the trichomes with my naked eye. I have also looked up at the moon and could distinguish what seemed to be every single crater and pockmark on its surface. None of these experiences were hallucinations, which would indicate an impossible manifestation of some form or the other, which Ive totally encountered before on shrooms & LSD. I have taken a bezel or two too many before(I believe I did the serotonin syndrome twice), and have had visual disturbances, but my minds eye never interpreted them as unreal by any means, and therefore my "bad" trips on e were very manageable and I was able to easily come down from a psychological standpoint. Ive also taken enough pills to confidently say I know when I get actual MDMA. Ive taken some pills labeled as e that a) had absolutely no effect whatsoever, even after 5 or 6, I know thats not a wise move, but damn it, I get impatient!; and b) had completely undesired results from a psychoactive perspective, at least in my taste, such as dissociation and bizarre auditory & sensory anomalies that come across as profoundly abstract, even while high. I think thats the magic of MDMA, is that it allows you to completely enjoy your whole range of natural senses on an otherwise unworldly perspective.
