MDMA related drug- visions and powdered sugar look

My friend bought us what we thought to be MDMA. I am very familiar with MDMA. We tried it and I thought it was way more intense feeling than any other MDMA I've ever had. I felt extremely fatigued. I even had weird visions at the end of the night, of zig-zaggy black and white and rainbow fish eating each other.. The next morning was awful. I know it wasn't cut with meth. But I feel like it was cut with something- I didn't have that lovey, empathetic feeling that MDMA usually gives. I'm curious if this might have been cut with MDA or sassafras? It looked like powdered sugar- and my friend took a WHOLE bunch of it for a couple days, and he got angry and violent, which is my I'm kind of concerned that is was cut with methalyne? (bath salts?) any ideas?
