MDMA masking a PMA reaction

This might be a stupid question because I always hated my chem classes...but if you were to do a couple of spot tests on different places on a pill with the E2 kit, would you somewhat be able to tell if a pill contained PMA which might be under the MDMA reaction, or are they both evenly distributed throughout the whole pill? To put it more simply, would you get some PMA reactions and some MDMA reactions, or would they all be the same color?

It would be likely (IMHO) that you would at least see something "off" about the result, as there would be purple plus other colours (Green-Red-Brown) in the mix.
