saturday night, i rolled for the first time. a friend and i went to a club about 2 hours away, as we live in the middle of nowhere. after looking for about 30 minutes, he finally found one of his friends who had some pills and got one for each of us. they were white, round on one side, flat on the other, with a @ on the flat side. they were also pretty solid, and really bitter. he said it was a good sign.
we walked around, talking to people he knew, as he is a somewhat regular at the club. i was introduced to some interesting folks, and about 30 minutes after dropping, i couldn't stop moving. the dj's were playing some really good progressive house and dnb stuff, or at least, that's what it sounded like to me. maybe a little trance thrown in the mix, but it was all really good. he picked up a couple glow sticks and started giving me a light show, which kinda annoyed me, because i wanted to keep dancing. it was like the music was in my veins. eventually, i got the sticks from him, and held them as i danced. and danced. and danced. eventually, i was oblivious to everything but the music and the movements of my body. it was incredible.
somehow through the night, i ended up with four more sticks. i don't really remember how i got them, just that i was holding them in an A shape in my hands and still dancing. my friend told me to follow him, and he took me to meet a friend of his who gives insane light shows. and has lots of toys. he had these gloves with a light at the tip of each finger, and a pair of those laser glasses like you would wear on one of those hologram type rides. goofy back to the future looking things, but they made it look so cool. then, he told me to take them off, and he gave me a show with just the gloves. the tracers were incredible, better than any i'd ever had on an lsd trip. spirals and circles were everywhere. and then he had some chick give me a backrub. oh my god...it was the best backrub i've ever had in my entire life.
after a few more shows and another backrub and a handrub, i got back to dancing. i couldn't help myself. about 8, 830 in the morning, he was like "okay, we need to go now," and i wasn't ready to. but, he forced me to, as i have no hat, so my pupils were highly visible to everyone who looked. bad idea to walk out like that if the 5-0 is around. so we walked out, got in his car, and began the drive home.
my head began to pound, and it felt like my eye was going to pop out of my head. he asked me to drive, but i was curled up in the passenger seat in pain from the headache. when i got home, i went to bed, slept for about 8 hours, woke up, stayed up a couple hours, and went back to bed and slept for about 10 more hours. and then i woke up with the headache again. finally, sometime that afternoon, a day, a night, and almost another whole day after the roll, i got rid of the pain.
all in all, the roll was amazing. i'd do it again, but i'd definitely make sure i had some sort of headache relief handy for the comedown.
