I realize I am in over my head when talking about this kind of stuff, but which serotonin receptor causes some of mdma's effects. 5-ht2a?

im interested in this too actually. i read in my Zomig (migraine medicine) insert that the triptan drugs act on the 5ht1a and 5ht1b receptor. ive notcied after bad migraines when i would take the zomig, i would feel like an afterglow that feels similar to what i used to feel from MDMA. is it all related somehow?

To the best of my knowledge:
All of them, due to 5-HT release (which obviously acts as endogenous agonist at all subtypes).
But with intrinsic binding affinity, particularly: 1A, 2A, 2C.
I think. But I can't be arsed checking atm.
