I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the right place, but I'm sure someone will let me know if I'm not...

Anyways.

My 'little' brother has Crohn's/Colitis, and has expressed an interest in trying MDMA with me and my friends at an upcoming concert. I'm a very occasional user myself, so I'm not really sure how it will affect him considering the medications he's taking.

He's currently taking a Humira shot once every two weeks, and is also on Entocort and Pentasa, daily. Should he maybe leave off the daily meds the day before and of, so the MDMA doesn't cross wires with them, so to speak?

I'd really be grateful for any shared experiences from people who are living with Crohn's and have used MDMA while taking medication.

Cheers.

I think abstaining from the meds and then using mdma at a concert would be a recipe for disaster. MDMA, like other stimulants, will worsen the symptoms of colitis. I think you can use your imagination from there...

MDMA always gives me serious diarrhea and stomach upset on the comeup. I've always suspected I have IBS or some other GI condition but no diagnosis.

Here's what I do, and it works wonders:

*Eat a handful of bland food like crackers or toast about 10 minutes before dosing.

*Take 2 Imodiums at the same time as I drop the MDMA. Completely prevents diarrhea most times and gets rid of that urgent "I'm gonna puke and shit at the same time" feeling of the comeup. Highly recommended.

There's no reason to stop the meds. They are not contraindicated in combination with MDMA, as none of them are MAO inhibitors, and none of them interact with the serotonergic, dopaminergic, or adrenergic signaling systems in any way.

Best to not increase the risk of diarrhea ruining the roll by skipping meds.
