MDMA caused no buzz for two nights in a row. Recent acid trip or medication to blame?

Hey guys, I'm hoping someone might be able to shed some light on this as I've had no luck finding answers by looking through the other threads.

So my two friends who frequently take pingas and mdma pills went to a 3 day festival recently. They used to use at clubs every weekend for months and one of them recently had 6 weeks off from all drugs because she picked up short term weekend work which finished just before the festival so this festival was going to be their big reuinion. The only medication both of them are on is the contraceptive pill and nothing was out of the ordinary. They both dropped acid on the first day around midday as there wasn't much music on that day and that was fine, they were able to get to sleep at a decent hour and woke up feeling normal.

On the second night, they had a batch of pills which they had rolled off before that are known as beige clovers, there is no doubting that they are good pills because many of their friends were rolling hard off these. Both of them didn't feel anything for hours so they took a few more and eventually they felt a small buzz that didn't last long and then both had stomach aches and one of them threw up.

On the third night, they decided to get other pills so they got white nikes which they have also rolled off before and the batch was tested by their friend and it was good and he was rolling off them hard that night as well. Again, hours went by and they didn't feel anything and it got to the point where they had each had around 4 pills within 4 hours and hadn't felt a single thing, they were awake but definitely didn't have a buzz.

They decided to give up and stop wasting their money because they had both consumed a large amount of pills with no results. Does anyone have any suggestions to what might have caused this? They are definitely not tolerant to them because it had been a good 6 weeks since either of them really used and even before that 6 weeks they were using like once a week. Thanks

Medications can certainly be a factor. I don't know the exact details of contraceptive pills, but if they are pretty much birth control pills then yeah, I don't think taking illicit substances is a good idea. I know that you shouldn't even drink alcohol on them. So mdma or acid probably isn't a good idea either. Mixing medications with illicit substances (or even legal ones) CAN be very dangerous.

Some people can roll two days in a row. Myself and others have done it successfully, but the second day we'd have to take more, combine it with other substances and be prepared for weaker effects.

However, if they had such a reaction the first time, why did they take it again as soon as the next day? Was it a weekend rave/festival? If you get a bad reaction the first day, you shouldn't be surprised if the same thing happens the very next day. It's advisable to wait a month or months.

Based on your post and how everything else was normal, you should suspect the contraceptive pill causing those issues. Of course, there are other possibilities as well.

Hi. The problem lies with weekly use prior imho. I'm not trying to speak off of a high horse but that is considered abuse of the drug, rolls should be spaced out by a month at least. You said the pills were tested, contraceptive pills have nothing to do with MDMA so there's nothing else I could think of. We've seen this before though, they can consider themselves lucky if they will ever be able to roll in the future.
