MDMA and recent brain damage

Hi guys,

I went pretty hard (too hard) on MDMA use from last December until March of this year. I basically did it every weekend except a few, and sometimes two nights in a row. I know, terrible idea, I was in a very bizarre place and knew it was a main contributor to nights, as I would say, were a "Good story to tell".

Anyway... Last March suffered a traumatic brain injury and was hospitalized for a couple weeks. The accident was not drug-related. I went back to see the neurologist a few weeks ago and he said I healed ridiculously well and that I had no restrictions anymore except to go easy for the next couple of months and use caution. I have drank alcohol a few times since then with no bad problems except for a prolonged headache but compared to the headaches I suffered they were no big deal hahaha.

Now, my question is, I know it wouldn't be the greatest idea and I certainly wouldn't be doing it too soon, and definitely not as frequent, but I'd just like to know how anyone else feels about using MDMA after this has happened? What I have access to is the best shit around my area. I feel completely fine now and apart from alcohol I've done lorazepam, valium, morphine(orally - and not much of it), codeine, methylphenidate and DXM since the accident without any problems.

Thanks

Ya that sounds like the best plan hahaha. Let my buds catch up on some experience without me.

And when I do, I'll be sure to follow the harm protection supplements topic.

That's good to hear, I still do worry about my brain function, not exactly 100%. And yes I am.

Wow. Thanks a bunch for the reply. Both of you. Stopped me from being stupid.

do not do it I guess.... wait some time... easy to say, hard to do but hell... its the best thing.

Yea, the brain is nothing to mess around with. Give it at least a year and see how it goes, maybe more.

i would avise against it as well....

smoke the cheeba instead :) it'll probably help your brain heal faster

Recent studies with cannabinoids show that activation of CB1 receptors can facilitate neurogenesis, as well as neuroprotection and can even help prevent natural neural degradation from neurodegenerative diseases such as MS, Parkinson's, and Alzheimer's.

This, along with research into the CB2 receptor (throughout the immune system), has given the case for medical marijuana more support. THC is both a CB1 and CB2 agonist

I rolled three times after my concussion, one week after, then like a month sfter that.

Bad idea, in still recovering.

But are you talking a serious TBI or a concussion? According to my neurologist, theres no long term implications from what I did.

I also drank 7 days in a row after my concussion. I really messed my brain up.

Did your CT or MRI show anything?

Ya a serious tbi. The last CT scan I got was about a month ago. All the blood was gone and, although much better than the many scans I got whilst in the hospital, there was still minor damage where I actually hit my head and a smaller spot near the center toward the back of my brain.

Ya I've drank a few times since and I could tell it wasn't 100% back to normal, I couldn't imagine drinking 7 days in a row now haha.

I'll definitely wait at least a full year, though.

OP really grow up. You don't have brain damage. There are people that take multiple pills daily as well as every other drug under the sun that they can get their grubby hands on.... and they are still waiting for brain damage...

He doesn't mean he got brain damage from using MDMA, he "Last March suffered a traumatic brain injury and was hospitalized for a couple weeks. The accident was not drug-related". He's asking if he can/should use MDMA after this injury.
