I've just found out much to my displeasure that mdma can be ineffective with someone who has done a lot of mcat/mephedrone, I tried MDMA foir the first time about an hour ago starting of with a line of around 100mgs then felt a tiny rush but still no amazing feelings so topped it up with another 150-200mg line and still nout. I know this could be because of a variety of reasons for example dodgy md, but it's from a trusted source and tasted like the bitter taste I had heard so much about. I then thought that as I am quite a heavy mephedrone user and although have cut down hugely in the last couple of months at one point I was on a 5-10 g habit a week. And yesterday I finished a 5 day long binge which was the first in a long while but I must of had at least 8-10g's of drone, I was wondering if anyone else has realised this or anyway to get rid of this tolerance lol. First post on this aswell lol.

The short answer is that, yes, there's cross-tolerance between mephedrone and MDMA in the sense that if you've been abusing mephedrone you'll find the euphoria greatly diminished or absent from MDMA.

As far as I can tell, mephedrone is a pretty effective little dopamine releaser, which explains the "moreish" behavior people exhibit when using it. Your 5-day binge is evidence of this, I think. :\ The solution to your problem is to quit using mephedrone (or any other drug that produces pronounced euphoria) for a bit -- your dopamine receptors will re-upregulate given time.

Good luck, and thank you for sharing your experience; the more information we can assemble about mephedrone, the better.

could also be because you are insufflating it rather than taking it orally as most do. i wonder why it is that meph is railed so often?

The strength of the euphoric "rush" is proportional not only to the size of the dose, but also to the rate of its absorption (and consequently rate of dopamine release) -- routes of administration that create a larger "impulse" will feel more euphoric. Thus, ROAs such as snorting/injecting/etc. are all popular with drugs that produce euphoria

Thanks for the responses it's not because of the insuffulation I tried bombing around half a g and I felt like I should have been high but wasn't if that makes sense, and ye I'm going to try and stop doing drone and let my synapses recover.
