mdma and cymbalta (snri)?

Hi,

I've never rolled before, and am hoping to for a concert comin up. I just started cymbalta at 30mg a day for the past 6 weeks or so. I know i wont get any effects if im still on it, and it has a half life of 12 hours. so im wondering how long i have to stop taking it for before i want to roll for it to be out of my system and everything.

any insight? thanks

to be on the safe side i would stop it 2 weeks before you roll.

i don't want to preach, but if you are taking an antidepressant you might be at risk for a harsher comedown after rolling.

mdma isn't to be played with if you are depressed.

For the record, I'm on it for general anxiety, and am not depressed while on or off of it. I heard murmurs about it being okay to roll even 5 days after stopping cold turkey, especially when only on 30mgs/day. what would happen in theory if i only stopped 5 days before taking mdma?

half life = 12hrs?
24hrs = 25% in your system
48hrs = 6.25%

you should be fine, in theory, after only 3 or 4 days. however, i know my SSRIs/SNRIs and i think you would need at least 1 week or more off. i say this because if the half life was that short there would be incidences of WDs like with effexor. cymbalta is rather new though so maybe cases havent been reported much yet.

anyway, 1 week you should be in the clear.
