MDMA and Accutane

Im planning to begin my accutane treatment shortly, one of the known side effects is depression. Does anybody have experience of taking MDMA while on accutane compared to not being on it? Also, I know this is a forum about MDMA and not accutane, but does anybody know where does the accutane depression come from? Is it linked to serotonin?

There’s a lot of potential variables with accutane and depression although I’m not recently well-read on it. I have done a course of accutane though way back when.

Someone with better knowledge may know but as far as just conjecture, I’d guess it has to do with how harsh it is and impact on the gut potentially.

I don’t see any issues with MDMA from a pharmacological perspective but see if some other people have more insight.

That said, accutane courses aren’t typically more than 5 months so it isn’t the end of the world by any means to abstain from the MDMA for that period which may be more prudent.
