MDA and depersonalization

I've heard about a number of people experiencing feelings of depersonalization/derealization after taking ecstasy or weed. it's happened to me after smoking a lot of weed in the past, but it hasn't happened to me from taking e. does anyone know if MDA, not MDMA, can cause these feelings? I know it's supposed to be headier than MDMA, so I'm wondering if it has the potential to make you feel "out of it" for days afterwards...

I feel super copiloty for upwards of days to weeks after I smoke pot or drop MDMA.

Pot is more of a hangover copilot though. I get headaches and feel faraway and detached. MDMA just makes me feel tired and out of it, and far away.

anything of the mdma family can cause it. I went through a period of about 4-6 weeks with really bad depersonalization for the first time, and I only rolled 3 times this summer. That was a sign that it's time for a good break, went away after a while but it's such a weird feeling. I totally know what your going through, just exercise and eat healthy man you will be better soon

I think any drug has that potential if abused heavily

I don't overuse at ALL. Part of why I don't smoke weed is that it makes me feel like that every time.

depersonalization/derealization = two completely different experiences ?

MDA certainly causes derealization (why else would we take it?) but depersonalization I would say no at normal doses. I do think that most drugs have the capacity to cause depersonalization if enough of the substance is consumed.

At what point do 'you' consider depersonalization with ego death?

I went through depersonalization for 3 months this year even though my usage was at least 1-2 months between before hand. I never want to go through that again so im taking at least 4 month breaks now. I'm on month 5 :D and I feel normal and like myself again.
