MCing in drum and bass?

^ it's far a far cry from your best, I do like drop. Do you have anything in a major key?
God I feel depressed.

Give this a try. Straight from the street. It took me ages to find this again.

daaaam.... fuck the music.
The original version didn't have the sub-bass in the background.
Who's hearing the d'n'b in the backgroud?
What is interesting if you follow both these guy's careers, who came up trumps?

I remember talking about this in the 90s, this has been an ongoing debate....

My take on it then was and still is "Just like any other form of music, a few people are really good at it and a lot of people are terrible at it"

Nothing can really touch Bukem and Conrad IMO... that is some special shit right there.

Also, I always liked DnB MCs live much more then on tape... I also will never forget just arriving in London for my semester abroad and seeing Andy C and Skibadee and feeling like "fuck yeah I have arrived this is what I thought it was gonna be!!!!"

I'll take a listen and give you my honest opinion. Ta for the reply.
This set takes the biscuit, however a ducker is a compressor with the side chain in's and out's. It's really ment to stop feedback from the threshold setting.
Phactor, post some more.
Really though it's awful, the beats are A1.
Happy Christmas.

Yeah no one can really match LTJ and bukems chemistry. they go together like peanut butter and jelly. MCs live usually are just muddy in the mix anyhow.. can hardly hear them from the shows i've been to.

eksman is the best MC imo, thats who eksman is
he spits bars, like real lyrical style,
MC EKSMAN DEFINITELY DA BEST MAN SOUFEAST CONNECTION ROLLIN ON SELECTION ITS DA
MC EKSMAN DEFINITELY DA BEST MAN SOUFEAST CONNECTION ROLLIN ON SELECTION RINSE OUT

I absolutely cannot stand MC's, It distracts me from the music and completely gives me the shits and cannot get into the music.

The only exception is LTJ Bukem and MC Conrad.

As someone else said.. they try to be hype men and just keep repeating the same lines over and over and really grows tired on my quickly.

Sorry guy's I had to lift all my Scloud files, I didn't really like the quality of youtube.
I'll go back and list all the tracks in text.
Boohoo, tis per shame.

Hat's off to LSDMDMA&AMP.
Your track is whack and trippin on the heavy fantastic. It's actually interesting, even after ten times.
It's 'timeless' or 'future proof'
What are y'all holding back for?
I know there's a gargantuan of tracks out there. I'll fire out one last twack if I can find the damn thing.....

wot track are you tlaking about

I would say less than 10% of MC's at DnB (and breaks for that matter) events add to the vibe. The other 90% I just wish would shut up, or someone would at least turn down their mic.

Notable exceptions being Bukem / Conrad and Mc Sureshock.

A good Mc can hype the crowd right up and its quality, can sound shit for home listening though. The lyrics can be tedious though -far too much pseudo badman talk, they all think they can swim with the sharks till they enter the ocean. Mc's who use lyrics to add to the music is a win but the fake fassy with delusions of grandeur who spend the whole set telling the crowd how much of a rude boy criminal they are ruin it.

Proper DnB with decent Mc's -RIP Stevie Hyper D
