Cmon this is all taken out of proportionYep. It's time for the US to adopt reasonable and sane gun policies like we have done in Australia.
But good luck with that, because culture, because an obsession with guns and wars has tainted the American psyche en masse.
We never had a cultural obsession with firearms, and that's why Australia was able to render reasonable and sane gun policies, unlike most of the USA.
OK OK US got 16 times as many mass shootings as Germany, that sounds like a lot.
But the country is also 28 times bigger than Germany and has over 4 times our population, with many more cities and sites for school shootings.
Australia you only have a fourth of the population of Germany, and about the same number of mass shootings as Germany,
so you actually got many more mass shootings proportional to your number of people.
By Adam Riese that's 4 times as many as Germany, which makes the rates of your mass shootings pretty much on par with the USA.
so no, gun laws don't really help that much. In Germany you just get people running amok with an axe instead, for example.
still shit, when nobody has a gun to defend the kids. just my opinion.
maybe parents making the guns absolutely inaccessible for kids would help, but it would not stop the issue at the core,
because the issue at the core isn't guns, but it's education and intersocial contact with our fellow humans.
the issue are kids being made fun of and being bullied all their time at school, by students and often even teachers.
