Marlboro "Intense" to be tested :)

Camel Unfiltered is quite nice at times I do admit! %) (Luckies too!)

It is a bit unreasonable to expect people to suddenly switch over to unfiltered.

^ Who cares? Do you think that the only people that will be buying isopropyl alcohol will be using it to clean cuts and not to extract for example DMT from plants?
I'm not saying I care, I'm just saying I believe that this has fuck all to do with breaks from work and everything to do with maintaining a customer base.
I happen to own a 5 litre container or isopropyl alcohol and have never extracted DMT (don't ask what I do with it, though ;p)

i've talked to malboro reps at a chemistry conference about what a filter is and that it is the only thing different between lights and regulars, the thickness of the filter and number of holes on the outside that let air in and smoke out. so basically this cigarette will be shorter, with a shorter filter that is more porous to allow more smoke to get to you.

no, i wouldn't expect people to switch, just the morons who think that this is a great idea and pay 2X more for it than either a: rolling their own or b: smoking unfiltereds.

Gimme a break. The target market for this is people who want a shorter cigarette, not people who care about saving 3-4 extra bucks a day.

Erm, problem... Unfiltereds cost more.

Basically, you're supporting an unfounded claim (we usually call them conspiracy theories :p)

i bet you 10 packs of cigarettes against a half ounce that these things will cost more than malboro unfiltered

I did use the exact wording to describe it as my own belief and have backed it up with a reasoned argument. Unfounded? The basis for my belieft is that the tobacco companies are major capitalist organisations which are facing the looming possibility of their main business being outlawed or at least becoming socially unacceptable.

Hey, I might be wrong, they might be thinking of the environment by making it less necessary to have patio heaters. They might be thinking of the people who find the cold unpleasant.

Do you really believe they are thinking of you and not purely about profits?

I'm sure the motives are very simple for them, from a profit perspective, as stronger cigs are more addictive. It's a no brainer. But it's still cool to have stronger shit on the market imo.

5l of iso? haha have fun with that;) (99?)

^ exactly. I like a stronger form of my DoC as much as the next person.
I've never drunk it. Some people have suggested I do so, but I'm scared. I use it for sterilisation of surfaces and my hands/arms.

This is for profit, not a goodwill showing for the smokers. Doesn't mean it's not cool, but you're insane (nah, not insane, just really, really ignorant of business) if you think major corporate choices are based on much besides profit.

This is like saying that pharm companies should be shunned for making OC80s when there are already OC40s.

When I used to smoke, I would share a cig with someone or just smoke half and put it out.
I always felt after half the cig you pretty much get your nicotine fix and the rest just fulfilled the need to just smoke something

Marlboro already sells 72mm menthols and lights. This is just gonna be a 72mm "red". Its just another marketing device. And its almost assuredly less nicotine for your money.

That's a downside...why? I'd say it's very clear you're NOT a smoker, although I find it odd you don't see this as cool for smokers. If there was a cool new delivery system for coke I'd think it was good, even though I strongly dislike coke myself.

The reason I don't see it cool for smokers is because one thing happens every time you enable people to take more drug in a shorter period of time: people end up more addicted than they were previously.

And I don't see this as a new delivery system at all. It isn't. I'd feel the same way if they were selling little packets of nicotine for people to smoke off of foil.

Maybe they should just extract some tar from the leaves and you could just drop a piece in a glass pipe take a hit and be done.
Very clean no cigarette buts less smell on your clothes better for your lungs.

would you be opposed to nicotine available by the gram, powdered?
