I havnt done a trip report in a very long time and it seems fitting that my first in ages should be about a hellish experience I had yesterday.
I get home from work at 4 and have a smoke. Only my Dad and sister and brother are home. For the next hour i pretty much keep to myself in my bedroom playing my xbox and then it starts.... the shouting.
A bit of quick background info, my parents get into alot of arguments, mainly my dad who allways starts it trying to take out his anger on the fact that he has cancer and has this twisted paranoid though that my mum is having an 'emotional affair' with a male friend of hers who lives on the other side of the country because they are friends and some times call each other to catch up.
Its usually the same thing, he will start questioning her about it then it will lead to shouting, abuse then the silent treatment for a week then all back to normal again, happy families, but this day was when things finally changed.
So its been about an hour and im in my bedroom, pretty stoned playing xbox when they start shouting. Oh great not this crap again i think. Then they take it up into my brothers bedroom, my dad following my mum around the house yelling about the same old shit for the 67th time. Que lots more shouting and my sister finally starts yelling for me and my brother to do something. Great just great, here I am really baked and now i got to put out another fire.
Walk into the bedroom , que more shouting and me and my brother pretty much try to stand in between them to get them seperated and yell for my dad to just drop it and walk away. One thing leads to another with me and my brother yelling at him ( my dad has a habbit of getting up real close in your face ) and he eventually shoved my brother. When my brother regained his balance and got back up my dad started swinging then all hell broke loose.
I grabbed him along with my brother and we spilled out into the hallway for the throwing punches and kicks at each other for the first time. Ive got no idea whats going on but im just punching him in the stomache and body as hard as i can over and over and trying to shield my face, he lands a hit on the side of my head and hits my brother in the face, more puching and kicking but we both wear him down and he falls to the ground, not moving, almost panting. Im left in a bit of a dase thinking WTF. I just sobered up in about 40seconds flat.
My sister went to call the police and we went back to my brothers room and locked the door. Lucky since im so cleaver and sneeky i had my sister record the whole brawl on her camera phone showing the exact moment he started it. Anyway there was more yelling and he eventually left in his car.
The police came and took our details and we had to go back to the station to give statements. God i was so fucked up at the time, zoned out in the cop station from the weed but was able to keep it togeather. At the end of it all i didnt press chargers since he already has cancer and will die everntually, plus if i did i reckon he would be so rezentfull of that, i just cbf with the extra drama. He has some intervention order now.
Finally got home about 4 hours after the whole ordel, shaken and in a bad headspace. Smoked a few extra cones to calm me down and went to bed.
Gotta say that was one of the worst trips ive ever had and worst experiences ive ever had since that was my first real serious fight and it was against my fucking father ( at least i beat him but it was close )
