I take phenelzine and I wanted to relate some weirdness.

I have taken coke, psedoephedrine, ventolin, and rather than a hypertensive response I get hyPOtension, sometimes severe. I sometinmes get an increase in heart rate but the pulse is very weak.
Whats going on?
I also have low and faint heart rate normally on it and I think this is the reason my metabolism has dropped and I am piling on weight.
Parnate has a definite pressor responce to even small ammounts of tyramine but phenelzine I get this paradoxical reaction...
Is there anything you can think of that would give me a predictable presor response as I want to boost my metabolism to lose weight
cheers

Any particular reason for taking Pseudoephedrine? I'm surprised you're taking a MAOI and taking stimulants. Pretty dangerous. I can't offer any opinions on the hypotension though. Hopefully somebody else has a better idea.

best case scenario is that the weirdness is due to cholinergic shunting of the sympathetic n.s. maybe.

I think if a doctor prescribed a chemical, that doctor owns the side effects. I'm pretty sure it's an inescapable consequence of the Hippocratic oath.

There exist wickedly effective anorexants that don't directly involve adrenergic neurotransmission. Two that immediately come to mind are exenatide and hCG.

Do you think it would be because of a vasodialating effect causing the heart to beat harder?
But they are all vasoconstrictors right?

Well tonight I took the boldness (some would say stupidity) one step further and mixed meth with Nardil. I had a line done up for me but instead of snorting it I just took a quarter of it rubbed on my gums.

VERY pronounced effect! Pulse increased from 60bpm (which I have a hard time shifting it from even with a brisk walk) to about 110bpm at rest. (my friend who did the line pulse stayed at around 60 or 70bpm. It was a little scary at first, thought I had really fucked up but I didnt get a headache or any other sign of hypertensive crisies except maybe for hyperthermia.
But even without the meth I have been struggling with the heat here in germany where I am on holiday.

5 hours later my pulse is back to normal but still quite stimulated at 5am.
Besides from the initial maybe panicy reaction to the concern I had OD'd I had a great time. Heaps of energy and basically a typical meth reaction.

My only concern is am I doing anything adverse to my heart with this combo?
I cant understand the concerns about a Tyramine hypertensive reaction with Nardil. All I have had is hypotensive reactions. It feels to me like a vasodialation and the heart rate increases to compensate.
I have also had arythmia in the context of exertion and then stopping (like walking up the stairs)
I am very much into exercise and I am worried that I am at risk of a heart block.
It seems to really lower my cardiac output and I struggle with exercise physically when the intensity is high.

Nardil is Very hard to live with, the weight gain is really depressing, also even when I was doing intense exercise and diet I couldnt shift the weight. It seems to really lower your basal metabolic rate.
I also find I get the best effect from it from cycling the dose up and down. If I stay at the same dose for a long time the side effects become more pronounced and the AD effects reduce.

So far I can tell you that LSD is normal in its effect, coke much the same, maybe potentiated a bit.
Alcohol is potentiated but it is unpredictable .. sometimes big hypotensive reactions.
The hypotensive effect of benzos is potentiated, especially if mixed with alcohol..very pronounced orthostatic hypotention.
I am very much stuck with this drug, I am unable to work, socialize or just have some piece of mind without it.
I dont want to off myself, but I do fear for myself messing around with these drugs while I am on it.
WSB15, feel free to cut and paste this to your thread

Well, I did it one more time and then on the next, I was doing up some chewing cum with meth in it intending to have a chew, take it out, wait have another etc etc.
While making it up I dropped a few pieces of meth and picked them up and licked my fingers when I was done.
Pretty soon I knew something wasnt right, felt strage, pressure in my chest, hot, beginings of a headache.
Straight away I took 10mg of vallium and then
I had a cold shower and walked down to the festival first aid tent (in spain) and told them what had happened and the told me not to worry (retards didnt even have blood pressure machine, just took my pulse)
I found art there was a Doctor at another tent and explained what had happened, my blood pressure was waay high sat 180/135 and they gave me amiprazolie straight away, 2 doses for it to come down. I went back and hour late and it had come up again and they wanted to give me 10mg IM of valium, but I just took more of mine and it brought it back down.
Very very scary, I thought I was going to die or have a stroke.
Very very stupid, I thought I could manage the risk but obviously I couldnt.

I didnt just want to take it for fun, I have become so fat and I hate my body. I have this huge distended pregnant looking belly and I have been fasting and exercising and NOTHING will get rid of it.

Mad or fat and unfuckable not that I am interested in sex or even masturbating. Desperetly want a partner though.. What a sucky life

Oh yeah, It sould be noted that during this whole hypertensive episode I was bradycardic..around 60bpm

Hey man, how's the low blood pressure + bradycardia thing going for you? A blood relative just got a tilt table test after experiencing a similar suite of symptoms and was diagnosed with vasovagal response. It's genetic, so it's possible I'm prone to it to. I have reason to believe I am. I've gotten syncopes all my life every once in a while during mildly strenuous physical activity, but otherwise I can run several miles in the sun without incident.

Oh and the blood relative is also not responding to stims or vasoconstrictors.

Please chime in if you can.

Quite dangerous indeed. The hypotension you are experiencing is probably cause by the depletion of the neurotransmitters epinephrine, and norepinephrine.
