I know MAOIs are highly dangerous to mix with many drugs, what about Depakote? In my case, 500mg extended release. If the combo is dangerous, how long to wait after stopping depakote before mixing harmala crystals with DMT?

I really would rather not stop unless it is the only way as I seem to have found something that has given an almost constant mood lift, even though it isn't a typical antidepressant.

Edit:
Thanks for posting that good info.
It is the only psychiatric med that has reduced my depression. I've heard bad things about it, but I think I'll keep using as long as it treats me well. I'm guessing it's lack of seratonin activity means I should be able to trip as normal, though time for that is limited by college now.

I still plan to try the DMT+Harmala crystal extract in the next couple of weeks. I was given a 2 week shot of risperidone even though I was in no way psychotic so want to make sure that is all out of my system. In the meantime, I'll refrain from any drugs with questionable MAOI safety for an appropriate time, like 10x the half life or 2 weeks, whichever is longer

Valproate is believed to affect the function of the neurotransmitter GABA (as a GABA transaminase inhibitor) in the human brain, making it an alternative to lithium salts in treatment of bipolar disorder. In addition to blocking transamination of GABA, Valproate is believed to reverse the transamination process to form more GABA. Hence, Valproate indirectly acts as a GABA agonist. However, several other mechanisms of action in neuropsychiatric disorders have been proposed for valproic acid in recent years.[4]

Valproic acid also blocks the voltage-gated sodium channels and T-type Calcium channels. These mechanisms make Valproic Acid a Broad Spectrum Anticonvulsant drug.

Valproic acid is an inhibitor of the enzyme histone deacetylase 1 (HDAC1) hence it is a histone deacetylase inhibitor.

From the Wiki entry - doesn't seem like it'd have any interaction

Before I got off this silly shit I think I had taken MDMA and DXM without any counteractions. But I'm not really sure about anything else.
