MAOI + cannabinoid interaction?

Is it dangerous to combine large doses of a MAOI (mao-A inhibitor) and synthetic cannabinoid? Will they synergize/potentiate each other?

If they contain amino group(s) or functional groups that could get metabolized to amines, interaction is unlikely.

...death is unlikely. The cannabinoids, and this includes the synthetics too, have a really high safety margin in humans. But stoned you will be for sure

Not sure, but as cannabinoids do have some effect on the catecholamines, it's conceivable that a MAOI might increase the likelyhood of anxiety when using a cannabinoid

Doesn't just about every drug have affect on catecholamines and even serotonine. Like the drug is so fun that it indirectly causes one to naturally release these in standard quantities?

It seems unlikely that an MAOI would prevent degradation of the JWH-class compounds, however, as fastandbulbous noted, you may have higher levels of free catecholamines. (Which is why, for example, DXM is contraindicted with MAOIs even though it's not a substrate for MAO)

I think something like a large dose of harmaline (oral) followed by a large dose of cannabinoid + dmt (both oral) would be quite lovely (riding the psychedelic wave in the comfort of a bed).
