Hey guys I am not all too familiar with reagent testing so I'd thought I'd ask some people who were. Just tested a white powder and I got a red reaction and then nothing else (I was actually expecting nothing). Can anyone share some insight into what this might be..? The tester is old and was not sealed properly for a couple of weeks thanks to a friend but is the only one I have. Could this have messed with the reaction..? Doing a bit of research now to see if I can find an answer.

Thanks guys.

I can't find anything on my charts that would turn your Mandelin this color. However; I would be very wary of trusting any results out of the bottle since you say it's old and the lid was not put on properly. From what I have been told, the reagents will oxidize when in contact with air. Do you have a known good sample of MDxx that you can test to see if the reagent is still good?

Sorry to bump but I had the same exact reaction. Any idea of what it could be?
