I'm a very curious person, and drugs fascinate me extensively. I've now done Alcohol, marijuana, vicodin, cocaine, heroine, tramadol, percocet, oxy and a few others... Besides alcohol and marijuana, I've managed to do all of them 1-3 times and stop just to experience what they're like.

My dealer called me after everything I did to ask if I needed more and I just told him to shove it and that I would talk to him if I ever needed anything and to not offer me anything again or I'd stop talking to him. I've also done this stuff with most of my friends who trust my knowledge and research for months before trying these things.

All my questions are answered and my thirst is quenched.

We had very strict guidelines on using, only once every three weeks no matter what, never before completing all daily routines, and always have a sitter, never by yourself.

Has anyone else done anything like this or feel the same way? Everything I read is stay away from this, this, this, this etc... but I've never noticeably withdrawn from anything besides caffeine and I've gone on 9 hour coke binges.

I want to tell people that it's possible because of the wonderful amazing experiences I've had with drugs, but I think it's time to retire. I feel with discipline and a strong support system, this isn't hard to accomplish...

ive tried lots of drugs too. i also do them recreationally and control my intake. i dont really have a specific rule to when i do them, but it is definitely longer than three weeks for most of the drugs.

but i am in no way done experimenting with them. the reason i take long breaks and control my intake of drugs is so i can enjoy them for many years down the road and not have to worry about the serious side affects that come from abuse. i like drugs and think they will always be a part of my life, atleast for now. i see no problem with this as long as you do it in a smart manner.

It's refreshing to hear you say that. I felt that way for a long time, I just feel for now, I won't look for them. Only if they come along.

After 4 years of drugs use, after alcohol, benzos and other sleeping pills, strong opiates (morphine, heroin, oxy, dilaudid), cocaine and crack, a thousand types of E and pure mdma, pretty much every form of illegal and prescription speed along with other stimulants, ghb, ketamine, salvia, mushrooms, lsd. The list goes on... and I am not addicted to anything. Sure I had week long binges, but I ALWAYS get bored of the drug. I don't even worry about getting addicted anymore.

Not building a dependence to drugs is and always has been very easy for me.

I believe im the same way.

I think it's great that you've experienced those drugs out of a sense of curiosity and set limits on your use and didn't use them to cover up your problems.

The last thing I would ever want to do would be encourage anyone to do drugs, but my opinion is that if you put too many restrictions on yourself on when and how you use and you only use each drug one to three times, you aren't getting the full experience of the drug. This of course is fine, I mean drugs mess up a lot of peoples lives but some are able to use responsibly. If you are truly afraid of drugs messing up your life then just don't use them at all, otherwise use them safely and responsibly but allow yourself a little more time and freedom if you want the full experience.

I just want to reiterate that I don't want to encourage anyone to use drugs, if you do use them make sure and be educated about what you're using and don't mix drugs and ALWAYS start small.

However if you really want to experience a particular drug you need to try it more than a couple times, yes there is risk involved in deciding to experiment this way but it's the only way to truly experience a drug IN MY OPINION! If you're uncomfortable with the risk just stay away from them, I've experimented with every drug I've been interested in and ended up with an opiate addiction.....

So that's my two cents, never do anything you aren't comfortable with and always do your research beforehand.

Have fun and try to avoid the trap of addiction.

P.S. Here's another way to look at my opinion (and realize I tend to have rather extreme opinions at times): Let's say you're an artist, let's say that painting is your main art form and you were really interested in certain colors, let's say yellow fascinated you. If you only allowed yourself to experiment with yellow three times, and only on the weekends between the hours of say 9 and midnight, you're definitely not going get that mind expanding kind of growth that can come along with more intense exploration.

That's probably a stupid explanation, I'm kinda high right now anyway, I'm probably a good example of why you SHOULDN'T experiment too much with drugs!

For a few years I sought out and took every drug I could because I wanted to experience them all. I've taken between 35 and 45 different psychoactives. It really is hard to remember them all. I'm under the impression that one does not truly understand the way a drug effects them until they have taken it three times. After I'd done the drug three times I'd be over it in most cases. Now I've satisfied my curiosity and retired most of the drugs. I just stick to my basics, cannabis, LSD, alcohol, and nitrous oxide. I really don't see a reason to stop my favorite drugs because they enhance the experience of existing. I'm defiantly over my experimental phase though.

With drugs like stimulants I find the negative effects are experienced minimally the first few times. As you get used to the drug, you experience the positives and negatives a lot harder. Taking a long break doesn't seem to affect this.

I wouldn't recommend giving your dealer and attitude like that because if you do decide you want something from him again, he may have the same attitude right back, not sell to you, or raise his prices just to rip you off, especially because it seems like you are a little bit naive on the drug game.
