Man sniffing gasoline bursts into flames after being Tasered

I don't see how his ethnicity is an issue.

The officer fucked up. It's pretty clear cut. Doesn't matter what drug he was using and why.

And a member of an indigenous community that has been persecuted, forced into poverty and subjected to cultural extermination for generations.

He deserves to burn to death at the hands of the police for choosing to inhale gasoline on his property?

Just so we're clear- vigilante/extrajudicial immolation is an appropriate sentance for not choosing a white counterculture acceptable substance to abuse? Would you be mad if he had been smoking weed and set on fire by the police?

I dunno but in Canada the Native reserves are not all that bad.> They get money for doing fuck all.Im not talking a welfare check..like a good amount to live off each month. Plus they also dont have to pay any TAX`s ..Or Rent. so i dunno if its different in Australia..but in Canada natives have it easy.

That's a very superficial reading of the situation. A similar argument could be made for public housing blocs ('ghettos') in the US inner cities- residents receive free housing, free medical care (Medicaid), various cash and food benefits ('Welfare'). That sounds pretty good too, right?

Forget the fact that these programs create perpetual poverty, a cycle of hopelessness, institutional racism (these people receive horrible treatment from the state and society at large who believe they are getting a free ride when the reality is much different).

Conditions in the 'reservations', ghettos and slums the world over are horrific. It doesn't matter how much guilt money white industrialized nations pump into them, it just makes the problem worse.
