Man Sentenced for Stealing Lobsters for Drug Habit

Hey meat's gotten expensive. I don't care if Winn-Dixie is running a special "buy one get one free." They jack up the price to make you think you're getting a great deal. I feel bad for the lobsters still with their claws rubber-banded together.
 
People here do a variation of this as well as several other offenses to support themselves. People who live next to the ocean just go and catch lobsters and other fish without a license to catch them or sell them. Hunting wild game and selling it to restaurants and supermarkets without a license is also a lucrative practice here. I have known fish boat owners to actually give their crews the option of being payed in cash or weed, hash, coke, or whatever else well floats your boat :\

I wouldn't call that stealing though since you aren't actually ripping anyone off you just didn't bother filling out the paper work ;) . I remember a few years ago some pizza place here got busted for buying cheese (yes cheese 8( ) off junkies who stole it from the supermarkets. I can't see cheese being worth much so it's hardly worth catching a charge over lol =D . Stuff like shell fish especially lobster and crab are worth alot but you don't need to resort to stealing it from a fucking supermarket here. Unless your totally useless that is. I do know some people who steal crab meet from the fish processing plants here (if you work there it's not hard to get away with it) and sell it to restaurants to make some extra cash. As far as I'm concerned is a good thing because the bastards that own those places are modern day slave drivers so the more cash you can get off them the less holidays they get to take in Florida :\
