Man caught with £6000, 82g MDMA and Scales. Suspended Sentence.

I didnt think thats how the UK police worked though, but thats what they do in the US just try and bust someone, set up a buy and keep going up the ladder untill they get as high as possible.

For 3oz of MDMA though I wouldnt expect a prison sentence in the UK, its hardly a lot. If it was 3oz of coke, h etc then he would have been thrown straight in, think it had more to do with the drug he had, and his story probally helped. Not sure if he had any previous either

Chances are he won't ever do those 12 months if he keeps up the good behavior. You don't even necessarily have to stick anyone else in the frame, just co-operation with them answering any questions they have honestly will probably do, obviously someone else is still being stuck in the frame. In all honestly though before you go hating on him, put yourself in his shoes. 82g of MDMA and £6k in cash is enough for a few years, if there's evidence you've been at it week in week out, they can actually total the proceeds of crime, ask for it to be paid back AND sentance you on the basis of that.

3oz of MDMA and 6k in cash, as I've said in the above reply to "wh0re" is definately enough for a stretch inside, especially given the rest of the evidence, doesn't exactly sound like he was stealthy and if there was a phone involved even more so. I know someone who got 3 years for getting caught with 2 oz of coke and 500 pills, because they back tracked what he'd been doing and came to the conclusion he was making £700 a week, which of course he wasn't, he was funding an addiction.
 
I got 18 month suspended 2 year probation for drug/alcohol I was caught with a phone 600 5 oz weed 2 oz hash scales and baggies (my own stupid fault)........ I didn't grass just spun a good yarn!
 
I was a hopeless alcoholic (sort of true) selling the weed which I bought cheap in the pub because it was damp to fund my alcoholism won the £ on the roulette hash was for "relaxing/alcohol withdrawal" sold to friends and associates sort of fell in to doing it and it spiralled out of my control
 
Yeah I know........the sneaky bastards even said they found speed in the interview as well as all the other stuff even though I'd never had anything like that!!!!!!..........think its because I had a couple of known speed dealers numbers in my phone and they were just trying it on
 
Had mate who was busted with 3000 pills,1/2 oz od charlie and a load of weed he went to legal aid and just kept refusing the brief till he got a proper good un at £500 a day (this was in 89) re ripped the prosecution to pieces went thro every bit of paperwork and he ended up with a suspended and a small fine.
